Serious road riders put in serious miles. Most of those miles occur in the daytime, when bright ambient conditions mean you need huge lumens numbers to be seen by motorists.

But there's no reason a super-bright taillight can't look the part on the fastest road bikes. You invest in the best road bike technology--you deserve an equally fast taillight.

Packing a huge punch with 250 lumens, the Flux 250R taillight is visible at more than 1 mile (1.5 km) in the brightest daytime conditions. Here in Morgan Hill, California we get those conditions all the time—this is the taillight we made for ourselves, and for you.

  • Hybrid spherical lens and Fresnel lens over three high-power LEDs to send lumens for mile, or kilometers.
  • Three CREE XBD 901 LEDs for maximum brightness and efficiency.
  • Massive 1000mAh battery recharges via included micro USB cable in 2:15 hours.
  • Overmolded bezel for excellent side visibility.
  • Designed to fit round and D-shaped seatposts.
  • Includes 3 different size EPDM o-rings to fit a wide variety of seatposts. 2 o-rings included per size for spares.
  • IPX7 waterproof means this light will be there when you need it, even in the hardest rain.
  • Steady High mode: 100 lumens for 3:00 hours
  • Steady Low mode: 25 lumens for 12:00 hours
  • Power Flash mode: 250 lumens for 8:00 hours

Stopped Charging

Loved the light. It just won't charge consistently.

Reasonable

The light has good brightness and fits on my Gen 6 Trek Madone, something that few tail lights do with the elongated tubes. But the charging port failed after a little over a year of regular use. I ride about 10 hours a week.

Fine light; poor battery

Tons of lumens, easy use, lightweight, and good fit against the flat backside of my Tarmac's seatpost. But 8 hrs' battery in power flash mode? Never. More like 3-4 hours. I charge it after every ride after ending too many rides unsafely. My Cygolite Hypershot has more lumens, half the price, and lasts far longer. It doesn't fit the Tarmac seatpost but does prove that this little one is overpriced.

Super bright - Perfect for day road rides

I had a friend tell me that they could see this light - and me, which is what it's all about - a mile away on a long, sweeping downhill. It's bright! I'd say it's "Impossible to miss" but I lack that hubris in these days of distracted drivers.

The brightest light you will ever find; perfect for daytime use.

On full brightness this light is super-bright!! Brighter than any other light I have seen or used (which includes the Bontrager lights and Garmin lights). If you are looking for a light to use during the day, this is it. Battery life at full brightness using the blink mode only lasts me for two rides, though (rides average about 40-50 miles each). I don't like that I must remove the light to charge it.

Fabulous light.

Fabulous light. Battery lasts forever. Super bright. My boyfriend who is a long-term road biker is jealous of my sweet taillight! He has several different models and they never last even half as long as this bad boy.

The light is amazing. The best one for day use I ever had. The duration of the battery is very good and the blinking options are very suitable for day and night. The only thing to take care is the charger port cover. You need to keep very well closed, and use a strong rubber to keep tight (seatpost and rubber cover.

This is my favorite rear light for long distance riding. In the low setting, it can easily last 6 hours. It is lightweight, durable and stays where you put it despite rough terrain.

Really nice bright light

The light brightness and build is perfect feels definitely high quality and looks great and clean. Better than other lights. My complaint would be the mount with the rubber bands. Could definitely be better for the price against competitors. Feels like it could easily break and get lost. I will probably rig it just in case it falls.

Everything it claims to be, but brighter!

This light probably deserves a 5 star, but I wish it had a more versatile mounting system... so I am giving it 4 stars to ask Specialized to make the next one more versatile to mount. It does EXACTLY what it is advertised to do and it waaaay brighter than I expected. Airplanes can see this light! But... I wish it had a Saddle SWAT connect capability or had a snap-on mount you could permanently attach to seatpost. Thoughts on the O-Ring attachment. Pros: the O-Rings work just fine until they don't and then you will probably lose your light. Great thing about the O-Rings is if you run out of them any hardware store has them for a nickel so you can replace your mount anyplace in the civilized world for a nickel. Cons: If O-Ring fails it might be on install or it might be on the trail and then you lose the light. I am happy with mine and am optimistic that it will last a very long time!

Extremely BRIGHT and Very VERSATILE !!!

I've been looking for a light that WILL get the attention for me to be seen especially during the daylight hours when it's sunny out, and this light is it!! I love the ease of mounting this light, and choices of blinking patterns. I bought two of these and ride with both ON to make doubly sure I'm seen!!!

Nice looking and super bright

Nice looking tail light. It's super bright. Doesn't seem to clip on a backpack or saddlebag, but I have mine on the seat post, so it works for me.

Just what I have been looking for.

This light is amazing. It is the lightest and brightest lights currently available. It is only 45 grams! The packaging states that is 83 grams but that is incorrect. Works perfectly on my Tarmac and I would assume quite well on any D-shaped seat post. Its vertical alignment is as ""aerodynamic"" as possible and the supplied O-rings keep it plenty snug on the post. 8 hours with a 250lm flash is nearly perfect. Note it cannot clip on a saddlebag or backpack. There are only two slight complaints. The first is with the charge indicator. It gives a green light between 100% and 20% charge and then blinking red between 20% and 5% and solid red for below 5%. It think the 80% spread is too great between light changes. They could also have incorporated bluetooth allowing one to monitor battery level from a head unit but that would have decreased the light's runtime.

Long waited light

Pretty much love this light. It's great for day light ride with 250 lumens, especially in Texas where you need more visibility when on road. I had a few lights earlier which I used to cut them to fit on the seat post, none used to be working well. Some I had to buy other mounts to get them to work. Easy to mount too. This one is definitely a one to buy. Long waited for something like this.
