    Great bike

I have had chain issues, but this is a common thing among 1x bikes. Some minor adjustments to the chain retention device and I'm good, no more chain slips. I saw another rider talking about how their 3x7 men's bike hasn't had a chain issue. No duh, you have 2 additional sprockets to catch the chain should it slip. Don't act like this is a "new-fangled gadget" problem.

    Chain Issues

I purchased the Roll 3.0 Low Entry in 2024 because I have hip arthritis. The bike was very easy to mount and dismount. However, over about 50 miles of riding, the chain fell off nine times. The LBS made some adjustments but it did not help. I returned the bike to Specialized for a full refund. The chain on my current 3 x 7 men’s comfort bike has not come off in over 10 years. Plus it has 700 x 38 tires which offer less rolling resistance.

    Online Specialized Roll order

Seamless transaction. Website easy to navigate. Shipped to Gorges Cycles in Ithaca NY. The owner there never made me feel bad about not buying one off the rack. I bought some accessories while I was there in appreciation. He changed my bike chain on another bike without an apt while I waited. Felt like a cross between the new world and the old world. Online ordering convenience with ma and pa service. In addition email communication was good and only took about 1 week from order to pick up. Very satisfied. The bike itself was just what my wife wanted. Light weight and able to handle rail trail smoothly.

    Love my new bike!

I first rode the Specialized Roll while on vacation that was owned by the Airbnb, it was the smoothest bike I had ever ridden and I had to have one for myself. The low profile is easy to get on and off too. I’m excited to get back on the road with leisurely bike rides thanks to my new Specialized 3.0!

You're better off having a mechanic do the final assembly

Wanted to love this bike. Had it shipped and I assembled it myself. However, took it for a test ride and both disc brakes were rubbing with the annoying sound and all. Generally, this is an easy fix but you can't use the common "squeeze the lever" method to properly position the caliper and pads. Took me a few tries to realize they need to be perfectly centered visually by hand without touching the brake levers. Got rid of most of the noise, but there's still a tiny bit of rubbing. So I definitely recommend having it shipped to a local store or via Specialized Delivery. That way an actual bike mechanic is responsible for the final assembly. The other thing that bothers me is the suspension seat post. The dampening is not smooth and the saddle twists from side to side 1-2cm, so that makes the bike feel cheap. Otherwise, it's a decent bike and I enjoy riding it with my kiddo attached in his Burley trailer. But given the price point, I expect better quality from Specialized.

    This bike is perfection!

I’m very impressed with this bike! I went into the bike shop with the intention of purchasing a cruiser and the man at the shop convinced me to try the Roll 3.0 and I’m so glad I did! It was love at first ride. The ride is smooth and the tires are sturdy while still allowing you to gain speed quickly. They also absorb bumps in the road. The bike also keeps you mostly upright ,which was the main reason I was going to buy a cruiser, while giving you the ability to easily maneuver around corners and up hills. I highly recommend giving this bike a try!

    Amazing Bike

I’m a 72 year old male. A little over a year ago I had a catastrophic fall and totally ruptured BOTH quadracep tendons. Long recovery, but had the goal to ride a bike again this summer. Found the Roll 3 Low Entry and wish came through. Could not recommend more highly for people in my situation. Looking forward to long rides this summer and increased balance, strength and flex.

    Family Friendly!

We do a lot of camping; this bike handles the paved and dirt trails perfectly. I'm able to bike with my young kids without flying past them or puffing to keep up. Overall fantastic family friendly bike that's super comfortable and easy to handle for those relaxed family rides.

    A Plus

Had a Schwinn and decided to purchase a Specialized from a bike shop in Philadelphia, PA The brakes, tires, adjustable gears, and low entry are exceptional features that make this bike very unique. If you are looking for a dependability/stability giving the Roll 3.0 low entry a test ride would be a splendid choice. The new low price is also an added plus.
