Very dangerous if mounted to front rack of Globe Haul series

I am an experienced and conservative rider and had a very serious injury while riding with the CoolCave panniers mounted to the front rack of my Haul LT. The panniers sit very close to the ground and when turning it's possible for them to strike the ground causing a crash. This happened to me shortly after mounting them (exactly as instructed from Specialized) and resulted in a spinal cord injury and broken arm. The Haul LT and panniers by themselves have been good products but the combination when mounted to front rack is very dangerous.

Changed My Life

This is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I now bike commute to work everyday and this holds all my belongings - clothes, lunch, etc. I use it on the weekends for grocery shopping and any errands i need to do. I've had super heavy items in it and it holds up super well. I got the accompanying "cave tote" which fits in there like a glvoe and makes it super easy to take in and out of on the go. I could not recommend this setup more.

Expensive but high quality

I own two of these for grocery shopping. It's super easy to detach them from my bike to take inside as makeshift grocery bags. The elastic net for keeping things "tied down" is highly functional and effectively ups its capacity by 10-15%. It also has a part for locking itself laterally to the bike to prevent bouncing around.

Bolts Fall Off

Bins are great for hauling groceries and backpacks. Only issue is over time the 3 bolts connecting the bin to the mounting plastic rattle loose and go missing during rides. It would be great if you had specifications for the bolt length, thread and diameter for ease of replacement. Or built it so it doesn’t rattle loose during rides.

One of the best bike accessories I’ve ever purchased.

These work very well, the quick connect-disconnect mount is very easy to use a secure, the bins stand upright on almost any surface, they don’t collapse like a traditional pannier so it’s easy to get your grocery’s/gear in, and they are the perfect size to fit a full weeks of grocery’s/all your stuff for work/climbing gear/all your old clothes that your significant other is making you donate. I highly recommend these and want to get a set for all my bikes after using them.

This old man loves his new bike

At 83 years old I am getting back on the bike as I recover from a couple of age related illnesses. I try to ride it every day, from 3 to 10 miles and I've done a twenty mile ride already. What makes this such great option is that if I get tired I can increase the amount of assist and cruise home. The design and build quality of my Turbo Como IGH are excellent. The built in head and tail lights, the computer, the rack systems and the belt drive mean that I didn't have to add much to suit my needs. At my age the step thru frame is a must. I added a garmin radar and a Specialized Cup seat to increase comfort and safety. The ride is smooth thanks to the big tires and the front shock fork. It charges quickly. I'd buy it again.

Great for backpacks and groceries!

I use it all the time on my Specialized Turbo Como 3.0 IGH to get groceries and carry items to school. It's also convenient for other bicycles as I have used on my other bikes that aren't from specialized.

Prettiest pannier in town!

Easy mounting and dismounting, good shape and sturdy, fits my backpack well. One star off because this version does not have a drain hole at the bottom like the Fjällräven collab version.

does not fit turbo tero x bikes

This product does not fit nicely on a turbo tero x. If placed on the right side, it touches the derailleur, and allthough I didnt test it, I imagine it would interfere with its movements. On the left, it touches and completely blocks the kick stand. touching the kick stand is manageable but I really wouldnt have bought this if I had known, and I would have kept shopping for other options. I imagine the front would fit just fine but thats not where I want it. Since I have a medium frame with 29 inch tires, I can only imagine it would be even more in the way on small size frames.

Placed an order online for

Placed an order online for the Coolcave Pannier x 2 for use on my Vado 4.0. After a small amount of adjustment they fit very snugly with almost zero rattling, which is quite surprising considering the construction. Bought these so that I could use them for shopping. I just take them off the bike and place them in the shopping cart, fill them as I go, pay at the check out then lift them out of the cart straight onto the bike and cycle home. The only thing to consider would be the covers as the rain does collect in the base even when the plug is removed ….. it rains a lot in the UK!!

Really good. Quite heavy but reassuringly solid. When you add two of them to the weight to an already substantial bike, and fill them with enough shopping for a few days, don’t expect to fly, just take it easy, and they’ll allow you to ditch your car for local trips.

The tub itself is of

The tub itself is of high quality, but I fear the fixings (much of them plastic) may give at some point. One tweak to the bucket I would make is to add a subtle curved lip to the top edges that are not facing the bike, this would make it easier to get bags that are full of groceries in as it would gently guide the produce in the right direction. If anyone from the specialised team is interested in exactly what I mean I can draw it out no problem. It isn't an issue when the item you're trying to get in the box is uniform. Only when it's all lumpy like a bag of groceries. But then that's pretty much what it's for so 🤷🏽‍:male_sign:

Super utilitarian alternative to panniers

I picked up a pair of these for my city bike and they are great. They were easy to mount on my generic rear rack and seem fairly secure. The large storage capacity has held everything from water bottles and bike locks to a garden planter box. It is great not having to worry about fitting everything into a handlebar bag or fiddling with a bunch of zippered compartments on a traditional pannier for simple trips around town.
