I wiped out on light rail tracks and was thrown off my bike. I hit my head, but I didn't feel it at all; the only reason I know is because of the scratches on the side of the helmet. Great protection. I also like that it's thick enough that it keeps your face suspended off the ground. Happily purchasing another one now.

I went over the handlebars on an ebike at 20+ mph and landed headfirst on pavement. You never really know how good your helmet is until crash. I'm so grateful to have just a little head tenderness and not a cracked skull.

I bought this helmet when it was on sale for $50 at a local bike shop and it was an excellent purchase. It has been tested by the Virginia Tech Helmet lab and has a 5 star rating and actually performs better than the average 5-star rated helmet (it was #7/238 helmets tested). You can find the ratings by googling “Virginia tech bike helmet ratings”. They provide independent, in-depth testing of helmets to determine concussion risk resulting from a crash. This helmet also has MIPS technology which is an additional protection against concussion. I was a bit worried about the airflow but it has hidden vents which keep my head quite cool even in the middle of summer, better than my previous helmet which has large vents and looks like it would keep your head very cool. I have gotten several compliments on the look of the helmet, too. Not why I bought it but a fun bonus. Highly recommend this helmet. If I ever get into a crash I would replace this helmet with the exact same one.

Fits well, really like the style and color. Can't wait to bang my head on something (Kidding!!!) I truly feel like I got a deal on a quality product.

Excellent quality

I was in a full collision, thrown through the air landing on my back with a full head onto concrete moment. My head bounced and there was no pain or contact with anything. The helmet was barely marked and the ct scan was clean. If only I had a helmet on my bike!

The only thing lacking in this helmet is a visor for morning and evening riding. The existing visor is too short to block the sun at those times.

Easy installation and seems very durable

I'm a size Large for most helmets, and the L size for this one was too big. It would only "bite" with a liner and cranking the adjusting wheel all the way. It would also look quite big on my head. I then ordered an M and returned the L: customer service was great and the whole process was very quick. With the M, the fit is *very* snug, and my winter liner only fits if I remove the helmet's own inner liner. Ideally my size would probably be in between M and L, but I decided to keep the M because the snug fit feels much safer, and for the winter I might replace my liner with earmuffs. Sure it does sit a little high, but I like the design and if you want MIPS, you have to accept a bit of extra bulk. Build quality is excellent. The helmet comes with an adaptor to mount Stix lights on the back - it takes a few attempts to get it right the first time, but it's very secure. Anyway, try it in-store if you can, otherwise highly recommended. I'm very happy with this helmet!

Sufrí una caída usando este casco y en verdad que no solo me salvó la vida, es indescriptible la sensación al caer, de suavidad y confort!!! Fui golpeada por un camión de pasajeros y salí proyectada unos 2 mtrs de distancia cayendo de cabeza y rebotando...pese al impacto tan fuerte, la caída y el golpe directo que sufrió mi cabeza, no me pasó nada en el cerebro más que algo de inflamación pero para la magnitud y fuerza, créanme que milagrosamente se quedó ahí. Lo volvería comprar, solo estoy esperando el apoyo para el reemplazo. Y al casco ni un rayón! parece que no le pasó nada!

Great helmet. It sits so comfortably and securely. I just wish it had some semblance of a visor. Have to tilt my head quite a bit to not have sun in my eye

Nicely built helmet. Texture and color feels premium. Sizing is a bit off, runs a bit larger than expected. I normally fit a large in nearly any type of helmet with a snug feeling but this helmet was slightly loose and required using the adjuster to snug it up.

The main reason I purchased this helmet was the fact that it ranked high in the helmet safety ratings. Second reason was the price....I got mine about 50% off. Big icings....the great looks, the cool colors, the nice fit for my large-ish head (think cabbage), the long-term comfort/cool temp. The straps stay out of the way of my AirPods Pro. And, excuse me if this sounds too cute, but I really mean it...my head feels 'cozy' in this helmet. I also like that it has Stix light compatibility, which means you can attach the Stix light to your helmet, underneath the ventilation rim. I did this, but wasn't pleased with the rather un-snug fit. I checked the video for the helmet and it showed how it was to be installed. Unfortunately, that is the exact way I installed it, so maybe a 1/2-star deduction if you get the Stix light. I hope to never need the protection, but feel more secure now on my e-bike with this Mode helmet.

Despite it feeling like it has a nice fitting, it REALLY doesn't sit on the head like in the pictures you see on the website. It looks very much like it's floating on the head, as if It's too small for the head size, whereas in the pictures it sits much lower, in a more aesthetically pleasing way. So even though it's a super safe helmet, the looks are not the Greatest...

Lo tengo para uso urbano, es muy ligero, la guía de tallas de la página de Specialized es muy útil para pedir el tamaño correcto. Viene con el adaptador para luz. Lo elegí por el diseño y me sorprende su calidad, tecnología y por supuesto, la protección que brinda.

Ventilation is not as good. Strap works well. Looks good. Product is not as well put together as I expected. There is a slight misalignment of the helmet shell.

I wear a small in Closca. I bought round fit for Specialized. It is probably the first helmet to fit snug on my head. I’ve dinged the helmet a bit when carrying it around but the marks rub right off. I love black but the sun makes my head hot with a black helmet. Took a different color and I don’t regret it at all.

I had an accident that sent me flying over my handlebars. I landed, face first on the pavement in traffic, and this helmet completely saved me. As my nose and lips kissed the pavement, the helmet took all of the force of the impact and cradled my head perfectly. I was able to get up and safely move out of traffic almost instantly. Thank you for a product that I always liked because it was stylish, had a great ventilation system, and felt comfortable to wear. Now I can thank you for the fact that it most likely saved me. It certainly kept me from having a concussion and broken face.

Der Helm (schwarz) ist schick und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Bei der ersten Ausfahrt von ca. 2 Stunden Dauer war er sehr angenehm zu tragen.

Great fitting helmet, ventilation feels about right although it is winter. On the really cold days, sub zero, easy to close off the front vents with a strip of foam rubber. Fitted a Stix Elite tail light. Would be really nice if visor was available.

Stylish helmet that provides superior safety for my head

Nice fitting, with micro adjustment to make it fit snug. This helmet also is ANGi-ready, for those who want this emergency crash notification add-on. The venting is not visible, though it channels air over the scalp, helping keep you cool. Lastly, the chin straps works very well to keep the helmet from moving around, while still being comfortable. I would buy this helmet again.

Bought this to go with my new e bike for mostly city riding. Great style, fit, and comfort. I feel safe wearing this helmet. It’s super hot out and my head stays cool thanks to the hidden vents. Highly recommend!

Within a minute on the road I knew I had a winner. Not only is this helmet lower profile than most, it also ventilates surprisingly well. Note this runs big, and even a bit larger than other Specialized. Though I wear a L or even L/XL in my past 10 or so helmets, this one I fit a medium. My MTB helmet is the new Ambush in Large so if you are anywhere close to between sizes I'd be sure to try this on first.

Six miles into my first ride wearing this helmet a rider passing in the opposite direction yelled, "Love the lid!" In 73 years of pedal cycling (and motorbiking) no-one has ever complimented me on my headwear! There is a first time for everything... Having said that, this is a seriously comfortable (and stylish) piece of kit. Looking inside, the potential shock-absorbing safety features are clear to see - a bit like wearing layers for temperature control. Fitting was a doddle. The ventilation works a treat. My first one was black. I have just ordered a second in blue. Happy bunny.

Zu meinem neuen Como habe ich mir diesen Helm gegönnt. Er ist leicht aufzusetzen und für Brillenträger ideal. Auch mit Ohrringen und airpods kann er problemlos getragen werden. Die Belüftung ist echt gut. Morgens bei Kälte hält er warm und nachmittags schwitze ich nicht darunter. Morgens verwende ich noch Ohrschützer mit einem Bügel im Nacken gegen die Kälte, passen auch prima darunter. Somit ist der Helm allwettertauglich. Kann ich zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

I'm gonna be real, I got this helmet as a gift and was kinda skeptical about the lack of obvious vents. But it vents great! Compared to some other fashion-forward helmets I've tried, this is the coolest riding design. And it just looks so good. Not to mention, its one of the safest helmets ever teste!! What is not to like?

It is refreshing to find a helmet that the designers have thought through from safety to style. The helmet sits well on the head and covers more area for added safety. With three sizes available, I was able to get a good fit, and the design of the straps is comfortable. The sleek style sets it apart as a completely new concept.

I have a very big head (literally, maybe figuratively). I was afraid the large wouldn't fit, but it fits like a dream. No crash yet, So I can't speak on the protection. But the fit and cooling are very nice. Would recommend for anyone.

Recently a car that was driving into late afternoon sun went left of center and hit me on my bike. I slid up the hood, caved in the windshield and ended up on the pavement. I ended up being "mindfully" sore for a few days. The Specialized Mode helmet saved me.
