I have a large head with a narrow profile and a generally oval shape, a pretty much worst case scenario for fitting a helmet. The Prevail takes care of this nicely, mostly eliminating the excess gap on the side of my previous size L helmet from another brand, while giving adequate clearance front and rear. For the first time ever, I have a helmet that both fits snugly and allows me to comfortably wear a skullcap underneath. Hopefully I never have to find out how it fits in a crash but it's absolutely less likely to flop up and expose my forehead due to this fit, which is a problem I've had on two occasions with other helmets designed for more circular heads than mine.

Had the worst crash of my life 6 weeks ago! fractured vertebrae in neck, compressed 3 vertebrae in back, broke 5 ribs with 2 displaced and collarbone took a plate with 12 screws and bone graft to put back together. Helmet was broken and i ended up with a small bruise and tiny cut on head where helmet hit the ground. Definitely will get another one of these helmets before i'm able to get back on bike.

I came on here to buy second one of these helmets. I'm currently in hospital after surgery on my arm. I crashed, the helmet broke, but it did its job. The only part of me that's not cut, broken or bruised is my head! This helmet simply works.

I used this helmet for sometimes. Got into an accident, got 2 brain injuries. Doctors examined and said your brain survived due to helmet. I can say it with confidence that it is one of the safest helmet in the market. Apart from safety, it looks cool and perfect feeling for ride.

기존에 ALIGN II 헬멧을 썼었는데, 크게 덥다는 생각을 하진 못하였으나 라이딩 후에 땀이 나 있더라구요. 근데 Prevail 헬멧은 라이딩 후 머리가 젖어있지도 않습니다 ㅎㅎ 신세계!! 괜히 여름엔 프리베일 프리베일 하는 게 아니군요!! 게다가 Mips 기능까지!! 안.라 하겠습니다~

I was in a minor crash this last weekend and when my head hit the pavement it felt like it hit a pillow. Very thankful I had this helmet on. The one issue I have is the straps that go by the ear not being adjustable but overall great helmet. Will be looking into the warranty replacement program since I’ve only had it a couple months.

Not sure how cool it is in summer, I used it about 8 times in Colorado’s late winter. It is light, which is what I thought I was looking for. It protrudes high above my head which made me hesitate on keeping, but I thought it might help provide protection in a crash. Now I feel that cables that hold it together and the tall profile make excessive noise while descending. The pads, which are slightly oversized, have started coming off, just after the return window closed. More are on the way, but may need trimming to prevent them coming off. I’ll be looking for a more aero profile like I’ve seen on riders from England.

Comfortable, light weight, adjustable although chin strap adjustment is not the best around the ears if you have a small head / or are female. My last one ( which was new) saved my head when a motorcycle crashed into my rear wheel. Damaged helmet hence this replacements , but I was OK!

It's nice this classic helmet now has the upgraded MIPS system in it.

IMPRESIONANTE. Mi esposo se accidentó ayer, su cabeza recibió todo el impacto, el casco absorbió el golpe, se aplastó y se quebró y a él ni siquiera le ha dolido la cabeza. De no ser por este casto habría sido una lesión muy grave para él, pues su cráneo estaría roto y tal vez habría sido un accidente fatal.

Soy cilcista de montaña tengo 15 años y estaba entrenando y tuve una fuerte caida bajando a 40km/hr directamente hacia una piedra y el casco recibio todo el impacto y quede intacto de la cabeza .

Ho usato il Prevail 2 per alcuni anni. Casco straordinario, leggerissimo, molto stabile, ben regolabile, ben ventilato e sulla carta molto sicuro. Il Prevail Vent è ugualmente straordinario, perfino migliorato nelle imbottiture interne a discapito di +6g di peso (213g effettivi in misura S). Sulla carta ancora più sicuro della precedente versione.

Everything is good

Casco muy cómodo y ligero. El pasado mes de octubre sufrí un accidente bastante grave con múltiples fracturas (2 vértebras, 5 costillas, homoplato, 5 apófisis, edema pleural....), el golpe también lo recibí en la parte occipital y el casco absorbió completamente el impacto en la cabeza (tan sólo tuve hematoma), al absorver el impacto se rompió de detrás hacia delante en múltiples refuerzos mantienendose el cacsi en mi cabeza, sin dudarlo he vuelto a comprar el mismo para cuando pueda empezar de nuevo a montar en MTB. Me salvó de fracturas en el cráneo.

Eine Bewertung, die schreibt dass durch die „anders“ angebrachten Kinnriemen die Brille ständig rutscht, hat mich extrem beim Kauf verunsichert. Nach dreimal Tragen, auch bei Touren von 3,5 h ist mir die Brille nie gerutscht. Auch konnte ich keinen (anderen) Nachteil durch die äußere Anbringung vermerken. Ich suchte einen leichten Helm mit Mips-Technologie in klassischem weiß. Der Helm sitzt gut, lässt sich durch den Drehverschluss am Hinterkopf sehr leicht enger/ weiter stellen. Auch kann man den hinteren Teil in der Höhe verstellen; was (für Frau) mit langen Haaren super ist. Bei anderen Helmen lassen sich die Sonnenbrillen teilweise nicht in die Belüftungsschlitze stecken; das ist hier ebenso möglich. Der Helm wiegt 120 g und hat mich mit seinem schlichten Design und der großzügigen Belüftungsschlitze überzeugt! Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Sadly I bought this helmet during winter and haven’t had much chances to wear outside yet, but it fit like a glove right out of the box. It sits comfortably on my long oval head, with no noticeable pressure points. The harness on the back is spacious enough for my ponytail to get through, and the height is very adjustable to really caress your head. My only real complaint is the lack of adjustability in the ear areas of the straps, they fit fine, though it would be nice if they sat just a bit lower under my ears. All in all, as someone who’s struggled with finding a helmet that was long, and narrow. I’m happy to have the prevail 2 on my head.

Pressure on the forehead makes it uncomfortable. Best to try it on first.

I wanted to love this helmet, it looks good, price was right, it scored a high 5 in the Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings, and you could stash sunglasses....but I guess I have a round head and felt some pressure points. So I had to return. If you have a narrow head then this should be a fine helmet.
