I finally retired my old pair of specialized shoes after 10 years of wear and tear. These new ones are very comfortable, I was concerned because I have wide feet but they fit perfectly.

I have a narrow foot and these shoes tighten as needed. The external shell is more comfortable than my old shoe

Very comfortable and love how they fit!

Needed to replace my old shoes, these were the right price, and I wanted the BOA closure. The instep seems to be a bit low for my foot, but the toe box is nice and wide, so I feel like my Fred Flintstone feet have plenty of room in them. The thing that I find a bit odd, is that the opening is not straight up the middle of the shoe, so I have to play with the tongue before tightening them up.

First of all, let me just say that I am not biased towards Specialized- a lot of people are brand loyal and can be blinded to some degree with a bit of bias.. Truth be told, I work in the industry and primarily sell a major competitor brand to Specialized. With that said, these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet. It truly does not feel like an entry-level shoe.. This shoe is going to be everything you want in a road shoe- when you first put these on, you get the feeling that the shoe was custom made for you. And so far they have not let me down one bit. You cant find another shoe at this price point that feels and performs as exceptionally as this. I will be wearing Specialized shoes for the long haul!!!!

I really wouldn't consider another brand. I've owned Specialized mountain, commuter and road bike shoes for years. I wear a large 49/14.5 size shoe, difficult to find bike shoes so large in other brands. I just purchased a new pair of Torch 1.0 to replace a pair of Specialized BG Carbon shoes I've had since 2006!

I raced a lot as a teenager 35 years ago. These shoes are better than anything that was available then. On sale for 1/2 off they are also less expensive than anything that I ever wore. Back in the day I had the Time pedals and shoes when they came out (pricey but I was sponsored). I'm not comparing the Torch 1.0 to an average late 80s shoe. I find them super easy to get on and off. I have ridden them stright up on climbs for an hour and 45 minutes and had zero issue. I've worn them on 4 hour rides that are not too climby also with no issues. I've used them from 40F (with shoe covers) up to the low 80s F with nothing to complain about. I wear a 45 in these. If I want a tight fitting US shoe I get size 11. Day to day shoes are usually 11.5. My feet are a bit wide. I comfortably wear for hiking (where you size up a bit) a 45.5 in Scarpa, 11.5 US in Asolo, and for mountaineering a 45.5 La Sportiva Nepal (sometimes wishing I had a 46 to make more room for big socks).

Ordered a Pair of these Shoes size 40, Price was awesome but the sizing is my biggest enemy! I have a wide foot unfortunately these shoes won't fit me even if go up a size, I would need a wider fitting shoe in the toe box area for me. I gave it a try and returned them, I can wait if these will come out in a wide version.

I wear size 43EU & have since 2010. Nice that Spesh shoes have kept same sizing despite technology upgrades. Upper is nice, cleans easily, & looks cool in yellow. I like a little flashiness! Double boa is a nice touch. I’m can’t justify paying more for 2.0 or 3.0, when 1.0 checks all the boxes.

The shoe fit (slightly large) and feel on the pedals is great. I have 2 pairs of these and I've yet to feel any real benefit from the velcro adjustment near the toe...and the velcro is just a means for dirt and dust to collect on the shoe. The price point of the shoe is so great, that they are a value and this velcro circumstance can be tolerated.

Got the maroon color and it looks great! It punches way above it's price point and is likely the best option for an entry level shoe. Boa works great. Very comfortable. Runs just a tad big which is why I dropped a star. Still highly recommend.

I've been riding mtb shoes and pedals on the road for years. Time to upgrade to SPD-SL? I thought so and I don't regret the decision paired with these shoes. Sale price on the shoe made this an easy decision. Great fit. Very stiff. The Boa is extremely convenient.

I'm usually a 38 and this is what I order. Unfortunately it fits very small and had to remove the sole..

The shoes were just what my grandson wanted, but it took three attempts to find the correct sizes, as the Euro sizing is not correctly aligned with the UK sizing. However, having said that, Specialized do operate an exceptionally speedy return and refund system, so while I gave them four stars, perhaps I should have given them five!

This is my second pair, I love the blue colour, my first pair were the yellow ones Great fitting shoe, nice soft material, good padding on the tongue. I would recommend them.

I like the shoe. But, for me, the sizing was not ideal. For this shoe, I need a half size (41.5) that is not available. The shoe comes in whole sizes only.

Got these for my girlfriend to replace a pair of similar Shimano shoes. She really likes the more secure fit of these shoes and though each shoe was rated the same stiffness of 6 the Specialized are stiffer. She's very happy and the green looks cool

These are decent shoes. They are not the worlds most comfortable shoe but they are not uncomfortable. I guess what I’m trying to say is they are not remarkable but they get the job done and they are very inexpensive. I feel comfortable recommending them for your average rider.

Fits perfectly

Keep in mind these are my first ever cycling shoes. I like the room it gives in front part of shoe. This will help on longer rides when blood is pumping or if you prefer a thicker sock. Insole shape is comfy too. Heel could be taller as it feels bit awkward walking with the cleats on but I guess you do want more pressure on heel than cleat so we'll call that a tie. The BOA system is very convenient, you won't want to go back to lacing up ol' school shoes. Material feels pretty durable so if your wanting to do some light off-roading you should be fine. I'm also still getting used to clipping in & out but I'll feel like they'll take the "rookie" punishment just fine.

very pleased with the shoe, true to size as I bought the same size as my other ridding shoes of differing brands. The BOA is nice, but two would be better but that's on the Torch 2. Nice looking shoe seems comfortable on my 1st trainer ride of 17miles.....only time in the saddle will tell if these are great. No weird rubbing at tongue, heel pocket could maybe be a little snugger for me, but I have narrow feet.

It am in love with these shoes. I have been cycling for 2 years now and have gone through many shoes because they don’t last long or they hurt my feet. They are comfortable, allows me to go further in distance without feeling uncomfortable, and it keeps my legs in alignment with my body. Yes I will definitely buying another pair when it’s time to!!!

I ware Womens size 8.5 and these ran small. I have a narrow long foot…I needed a women’s 9.5!

Bought these shoes and want to love them... I bought the size according to the size chart I normally wear. The toe box is super narrow and I don't have narrow feet! because of this they press super hard on my big toe nails and cause pain when I'm out on a 80 + mile ride. Also seem to cause numb sports throughout my feet. I've never had these issues with any cycling shoe and I ride a ton... like 6-7000 miles a year. Win some lose some.

Fantastic shoe at a great value, with Specialized body geometry features built in. Size up a full size. I wear size 44 in all other euro sized shoes and had to go up to 45 in these.

Comfortable and lightweight

Great shoe for a good price. If you are like me and do not want the shoe to fit too tightly then the torch 1 with the single boa is a good choice. However, if you want a shoe that fits tighter then the torch with the double boa may be a better choice.

These fit to perfection, plenty of room in toe bed and were comfortable the second I put them on. .

Having always been an S-Works shoe dude for the past 10+ years, I decided to try these shoes based off the review in a major magazine. It did not surprise me that these fit similar to an S-Works, but with just a bit more all-around room. I love the room in the toebox, and the heel is just tight enough. And as always, there is the varus wedge built into the shoe which I need as well as the high arch support. The sole is not nearly as stiff as the S-Works model, but stiff enough for the average cyclist. And this should be expected at this price point. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

These are fantastic cycling shoes. Sizing is perfect, fit is amazing, ventilation of the shoe, lots of cool colours to choose from. I am brand new to road cyling and have done over 150 miles on my bike with these Torch 1 shoes. I honestly can't recommend enough. 😊
