Purgatory CONTROL 2Bliss Ready T5

The Purgatory CONTROL 2Bliss Ready tire is the standard bearer for light trail tire performance. The new, completely redesigned tread features square lugs that bite in on soft soil, while still providing support on hard-packed ground. Additionally, flexible center sipes fold out under braking force for increased ground contact and adhesion. To top it all off, our proprietary GRIPTON® compound helps make this the perfect choice for epic trail rides in any condition.

Versatile lightweight trail tire.

Planning on using as a rear tire for 120/100 mm travel "Down -country" rig. It is helpful when the manufacturer lists the ETRTO size of their products. A direct comparison of width can then be made. Specialized's 2.3" is 58mm. I measured a new 29"x 2.3" Purgatory Control at 795 gm. I suppose +6% qualifies as within " approximate". Haha. I have found SPECIALIZED tires to be among the best; going back to the '90s!!

Excellent grip

Have these on front and rear. Rode them in Fruita and they hooked up great on the rocky climbs and loose soil. Had the ground controls on prior to this and these seem to roll pretty close to those with way more grip. Weight is excellent too.

Way more aggressive knobs on

Way more aggressive knobs on the edge of the tire. Pictures don’t do it justice… looks more like a skinny mud tire than a true trail tire

This quality of this tire

This quality of this tire is really good. Even though I have not used it on ground, it works great over irregular concrete sidewalks, which is where I normally ride about + 20 miles a day. The tire provides a smooth ride with an excellent grabbing to the surface.

Give this tire a try I did not regret doing the same!

This tire hooks up as good as the other very popular front tires on the market. Used several other brands this one is faster rolling and feels lighter than the others I have used. Great rear tire also.
