Makes adding and removing this really easy. Wish there was more stuff that was designed for it outside of specialized gear that’s pretty expensive, If nice. I used this with some saddle bags from Amazon, just had to drill holes through them myself.

The MIK rack adapter is secure and easy to use -- slips into a slot on top of your rack and locks in place with a switchblade key. Attach any MIK storage accessory like a basket or bag to the adapter, and remove the adapter and accessory as one unit for safekeeping or off bike use.

Our Specialized Turbo Como 5.0 eBikes came with MIK rear racks. I did not like the bags I could find with build-in MIK connectors - they were either ugly or very expensive. This adapter solved the problem. We got Rockbrothers bags on Amazon, installed these adapters to them, cut off the attachment straps from the bag and voila we have MIK compatible bike bags. Don’t even really need to included removal tool - just push the grey lever and the bag releases. Mounting screws are included, too. Came in really handy on the ferry, where they store the bikes for you. We just unclipped our bags and took them with us in the cabin…

Works great with my Topeak bag.

For the intended purpose, works fine.. That being said, it comes with a key to pop or unlock the latch to remove the plate... The problem is that you can use anything long to pop the latch. Also you don't need the key to pop the latch, just reach under your MIK rack and push the latch with your finger.. It seems more thought was put into the key than the actual latch mechanism.

So frustrating after watching the video, so I shall now have to return it, hoping the panniers fit, as there is no lower bar either like in the video, wish I’d realised this before hand. You need to make people aware of this on your website Specialized.

It was easy to attach and works perfectly with the MIK snap-on carrier support...in my case supporting a large "basket" (pannier, if you insist).
