This gravel shoe checks all the boxes in the aesthetics department, but is no slouch when it comes to cranking out miles. Recon ADV is suited for the rider who values adventure, time on the bike, and needs an all-day shoe that will keep going when the gravel ends. recon adventure

I have been wearing the Recon line of shoes for four or five years now. I ride anywhere from 6-8000 miles a year so I don't cut corners on my shoe purchasing, I have had the Recon 2.0 and 3.0 in the past. All those shoes were awesome but the ratchet wouldn't last and i have had to replace them, so I wanted to try something different. For me as being a commuter and liking the long distance rides I want something that I don't need to fight breaking in. The Recon Adventure is that shoe. My first ride with them was over 100 miles and I was thrilled. The game changer for me was the sole of the shoe wasn't carbon. These shoes were hands down more comfortable without the carbon sole. I also felt like they were just as responsive when putting down the power as my worn out Recon 3.0 shoes with the carbon soles. The one thing I changed because I can't tie these shoes is I put quick laces in them for easier use. I absolutely would recommend these shoes to anyone who is looking.

Love these

I had originally bought the S-Works Recon Lace on clearance looking for more stiffness to replace my Recon 2.0 Boa since the Recon 3.0 have been out of stock. The fit was a little different and rubbed my ankles in the wrong spots. I got these and they are perfect! Fit just like the OG Recons and are stiffer/more responsive than the Recon 2.0. I personally do prefer the no lace of the Boa system they still go on great and laces hold well.
