Diverge Sport Carbon

Whether your goal is to escape on gravel back roads, far from cars and crowds, or drop the hammer at the front of your favorite gravel race, no bike does it better than the new Diverge. It's quite simply the fastest, most capable - and just maybe the most fun - bike we've ever made, delivering a ride that's quick and lively under power, but stable and confidence inspiring when the terrain gets rough. From Future Shock 1.5 and all-new gravel geometry, to category leading tire clearance, the new Diverge represents everything we've learned over more than 40 years of riding road, gravel and dirt. The Diverge writes an entirely new chapter in the gravel bike category, so you can dream up entirely new rides. It's the ultimate getaway vehicle

Gravel riding may be a ‘new’ sport, but our Diverge Sport Carbon has been developed thanks to over four decades of experience. It’s got our Future Shock 1.5 and a FACT 8r carbon frame for a fast, confident and comfortable ride on road, in the dirt, and over thick gravel. With gravel-inspired SRAM Apex 1 1x11 shifting and DT Swiss G540 wheels the Diverge Sport’s as capable as it is versatile. With Kanza winning Pathfinder Pro 38mm tires, the same rubber we spec on the S-Works Diverge, you’re ready to ride as fast and as far as you want.

Fabulous Bike

This bike is as fast as my road bike but with additional versatility and extra stability due to the wider tires. The 'future shock' is amazing and helps when you hit potholes, which seem to be a regular occurrence on our city roads. I highly recommend this bike.

So Far, So Good!!

I love this bike! I wanted a gravel bike because a lot of the roads in my community are pretty rough. Pot holes and debris are a common thing for me so I thought why not. I also wanted to be able to experience other terrains not well suited for a classic road bike. The frame is super light weight so even though the tires and wheels on this thing are pretty robust, I really didn't notice a huge difference between it and the Roubaix I have at home. The future shock is a really great feature and I am glad to have it for rough terrain. I'm not a bike connoisseur by any means but this was a great choice for my first gravel bike!!

Great bike, no regrets!

Such a great bike, great tyres, great fit, everything! True to size, I got the 56 at 5’10”, which fell into 2 sizes but really really happy with the sizing. So comfortable, it’s like a road bike on yummy thick carpet but when the dirt comes along, glides like an mtb. Not for the proper rough but gravel is a piece of cake. Future shock 1.5 is brilliant, after I fitted the medium spring, which was easy enough to do. All in all, very happy

Best Gravel Bike ever

Tested a few gravel bikes but this one outstands from the first stroke. The future shock is super comfortable and you don't even realize how much it works until you ride another bike. Geometry and frame are really good - racing or long distance rides - I have own this bike for a year and I am super happy with it. Highly recommended.

Easily a great bike for

Easily a great bike for someone who does not want to spend loads but still wants carbon & Future Shock. If you can sacrifice SWAT for Future Shock 1.5 (which can later be upgraded to 2.0) then this is the bike for you!

They bike and its components

They bike and its components are high quality products. I ordered the bike and had it shipped to a local bike shop and they assembled and prepare the bike for us. My wife loves the bike, and now I’ve been shopping for one myself. Their shipping was quick and easy and they updated me along the way. Very much would recommend.

Wish it were better made than it is

I’d love to write a better review, but there’s a rattle in the bottom bracket from one of the internal cables. Really annoying! On the down tube there’s a cheap piece of rubber that within 50 miles came loose. Small things but for $3500 I’d expect a lot better from specialized. Hoped I’d like the SRAM gears better than I do. I’d go with Shimano GRX next time.

Awesome bike. Light and responsive

Awesome bike. Light and responsive with smooth shifting. Wasn't sure how I was going to like the future shock but have found it to be very affective. Enjoyable on gravel and tarmac. Been riding S-Works for 14-years and Specialized does not disappoint. Get this bike!

The Diverge Sport Carbon was

The Diverge Sport Carbon was worth waiting for. It's very comfortable during the long (~40 miles) rides I've done yet quite responsive to steering input and power bursts. It's a hoot on the many gravel routes where I live in eastern Kansas and I'm looking forward to putting a rack and packs on it for backpacking.

Future shock comes w/o spring

Future shock comes w/o spring installed (didn't know), headset needed adjustment, and saddle was replaced after one ride. Paint is beautiful and gets complements everywhere. Ordered mine direct from specialized.com shipped to my home. Handling is very stable and frame has a nice blend of stiffness and flex.

So happy with this purchase.

So happy with this purchase. I researched gravel bikes, test rode the Trek Checkpoint, Giant, and this bike is superior to the rest. Geometry is very comfortable, yet it can be driven like a road bike. Very and fast and light, due to carbon frame. So easy to carry up stairs, over obstacles. I chose this model to save $700 off the comp carbon: tires, wheels and carbon frame are excellent. Only benefit to Comp Carbon is the FutureShock 2.0 vs. 1.5 on Sport Carbon. FutureShock 1.5 is excellent, absorbing bumps and smoothing out the ride for your wrists and forearms. 2.0 is a little better because you can adjust dampening. FutureShock is essential to a good gravel ride. My only upgrade thought is to get a FS2.0 fork next year. Also, I've rode on gravel, asphalt, gnarly grass/dirt with small roots - it handles it all feeling light, quick and stable.

Great bike! Light fact 8

Great bike! Light fact 8 carbon, sweet low resistance pathfinder tires, and a decent group set. I will see if the single front chainring is acceptable for the high mountains and steep terrain I ride. A great starter gravel bike for me to test the waters. Added Cush core for the tires and so far a sweet ride. Oh and a tasty mint chocolate chip paint job! RT/Telluride Colorado

Excellent Bike

I got the Diverge to replace my Surly Straggler, I have not regretted the choice yet. The Diverge is stable, feels fast and great on the climbs. I was concerned about the Apex 1 group but it has been spot on, the wheels set up tubeless with minimal effort. I wish the hubs were DT-Swiss instead of Formula but for the price point it is expected. Stock bar tape had to go, and selecting the correct spring to install(does not have one installed from factory) in the future shock made all the difference. I was a little skeptical of the future shock but am now a believer, I do not feel it rocking when climbing but on the rough descents it dampens a lot of the road chatter. The tires are great they roll great on tarmac and grip well in gravel/dirt.
