The Hillbilly GRID TRAIL 2Bliss Ready T7 tire has been designed for heavy-pedal, hard-pack riding—receiving vertically stepped knob shapes for more knob core stability and additional biting edges. Fast courses on hard-packed ground require a light, fast tire center to keep speeds high, but must also keep the speed through loose sandy corners and track well under hard braking. For these reasons, we've kept the high shoulder knobs. Our GRID TRAIL casing is a step up from GRID with more reinforcement, delivering better handling at lower pressures—all while increasing pinch flat protection by 15% and puncture protection by 30%. Building on this solid base, the T7 Gripton compound enhances rolling speed while still providing tons of grip.

  • Casing: 60 TPI, tough trail construction with additional bead to bead protection for exceptional puncture resistance, sidewall stiffness and stability.

  • Bead: Foldable

  • Butyl wrapped bead = 2Bliss Ready

  • Compound: GRIPTON® T7

I've run the Hillbilly Grid

I've run the Hillbilly Grid T7 up front for the last year, it's been very well suited to our Wellington NZ weather and tracks.

Really nice tyre

My local trails have very Little Rock’s and roots and this tyre digs into the soil absolutely perfectly, it grips like a mud tyre when you need it but doesn’t roll excessively slow as expected. It’s very fast for what it looks like, would roll as well as an assegai for comparison. Very happy with this product

Grip, grip and more grip

First run out with a Hillbilly on the front and a butcher on the back. They grip every where, way better than anything I've ever used before, it all in the title.

Great tire

Running low pressure is like having new shocks. Great on the West Coast in the wet on rocks and roots and an excellent winter tire. Ridden them in snow and surprisingly good.

I bought the Hillbilly (I'm

I bought the Hillbilly (I'm Appalachian American, good thing I'm not as easily offended as some) to try out for a winter tire. Very impressed. It hooks up just as well as a Magic Mary in the muck but doesn't deflect off rocky rooty stuff like the MM does (believe me, the MM can be downright dangerous on slick roots). The new damped rubber is the real deal and while I just used it on the front, the rolling resistance wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Out front for me now its Butcher when its hard and/or dry, Hillbilly when its damp or loose.

Will not lose grip, EVER!

This thing is almost bestial in how well it grips. I run it on the rear of my single speed trail bike, and it flatly refuses to spin out, no matter how hard I try. Awesome tyre, even grips during a typical English winter ride.

A great front tyre for a wet Wellington NZ winter

I’m running a Hillbilly Grid Trail 29x2.6 as a front tyre. On the wettest tracks around Wellington it has behaved beautifully, very predictable, never felt like it was going to wash out. Prior to this I was running a Magic Mary on the front, the Hillbilly was just as confident. Surprising that these Tyres aren’t better known.

Underrated tire... One of the best for the PNW.

You don't hear much about these tires but they're probably the grippiest and most consistent tires I've ridden in PNW conditions. They do amazingly well in the mud and moist dirt... Rocks, slabs, roots all no problem. They seem to do well in the dry too but I haven't tried them in moon dust or hard pack conditions. I just recently switched from the Hillbilly to the Assegai and it felt like a downgrade; Although, the maxx grip 3c rubber is much more supple. Highly recommend trying the Hillbillies!

Any condition - Period.

Lasts longer than you would possibly believe. Never fails to hook up in ANY condition and knobs do not break. Possibly the best tire known to man.

Super good traction

Where I live conditions are very loose and rocky. You can actually push through loose turns and get easy PR's ! Best front tire I have ever tried.
