Love the pockets, fit is snug so I needed an XL because of my thighs and rear end. The very bottom of the legs, the last one inch, came already stretched out and loose, which is very disappointing - wish they were "new". That ruins the experience a bit, but overall I'm happy with them.

Missed potential in poor fitting chamois

These bibs are have several impressive features for gravel rides. Subtle reflective strips on the leg. More pockets than I'll ever know what to do with. Earth tone coloraway. Great fit. However, the chamois doesn't provide all day comfort. I can usually ride for 2 hours before noticing hot spots around the "wedding vegetables."

Mostly great bibs!

I’d been looking at ‘cargo bibs’ for a bit and just happened to find a pair of these at my lbs. I have several other RBX bibs and am happy with them, so it was an easy pick up. I LOVE the pocket as they allow me to wear other performance shirts without needing a cycling jersey and still have room for stuff…lots of stuff. 2 on the thigh in addition to the pockets on the flank and back make for more than enough places to shove your phone, gu and wrappers and such. The straps could be a bit wider but i didn’t honestly notice them while riding. They seemed to fit just a tad longer than my other RBX’s but again…didn’t notice any real issue while saddled. The pad was very comfortable and even on an initial 20 mile ride with them, no real issues.

Solid with some issues

As others have mentioned, the main issue with these bibs are the pretty tight, uncomfortable and relatively non-elastic straps. Forget about wearing them without a base layer as they’ll dig into your shoulders and be very uncomfortable. I’d say that’s a major design flaw on an otherwise solid pair of bibs. On to the good: the chamois is solid, well padded, proper shape and size and just comfortable on long 2+ hour rides. The pockets on the sides could have a bit tighter rubber strap at the top to prevent certain items from falling out, but I haven’t had this issue yet. Love the pockets and I’ll never wear bibs without pockets again. The rear zip pocket is a smart idea for cash, keys and a credit card. The other two rear pockets are positioned a bit higher than I’d like but they still do the trick for gloves or whatever else you lug around. Overall, a solid pair of bibs that are super comfortable aside from the awful straps.

Decent fit, straps are uncomfortable

I use this for gravel and Mountain Biking. the shorts fit well, but the straps are too narrow and are not elastic enough to be comfortable. i am 6'1"" , have a short torso, and wear a large. If the straps were more elastic, and much wider to avoid digging into my shoulders, i would recommend

Pockets wrong place, wrong size and shape don't buy

So they fit great and I do like the pull to the side fly for nature breaks trail side, but thats where it ends. The pockets on the back are way, way too high to reach. The pockets on the legs are the wrong direction so that a phone sticks out and wont stay in the pocket. For the expense not well designed at all only wore them for the second time today and I'm gonna try to take them back. Makes me feel yucky when I think of the cost.

Value for the price

I bought these for my husband who does a lot of riding. He always wanted to try a pair of bib shorts and is very happy with these. Fit was true to size and he says they are comfortable--and he ""discovered"" the pockets which he really likes! So far, so good--he has worn them for about a month now.

Good option, needs some design tweaks

I bought these as I like having pockets in the bib shorts while wearing a pocket-less t-shirt mountain bike jersey - and I'd rather wear traditional bib shorts (rather than mountain bike shorts with a liner). First off, 2 thumbs up to Specialized for creating a bib short with pockets that is NOT a liner. And they come with 4 pockets, including 1 on each side closer to the hip -- very handy. However, there are some design issues to be aware of: - the suspenders are TIGHT. I have several bib shorts, including some from other manufacturers that are race fit (so I have something to compare), and I immediately noticed that the suspenders on these shorts are uncomfortably tight. So tight that I had chafing just below my right and left clavicle and I envisioned either returning the shorts or having them altered. After 3 rides the suspenders have relaxed a bit, but they are still uncomfortable to put on. Note I do not have a long torso. - be careful with the the side pockets as things easily slip out of them. I used one to carry 1 Lara bar and 3 Muir energy gels. On 2 of my rides, one of the energy gels slipped out while peddling. - the 2 back pockets are very difficult to get to (entry is high on the back). Stowing a jacket or retrieving a pump requires a lot of flexibility -- more than is required with a jersey or my other liner bib shorts with pockets. Overall, I'll choose to keep these shorts as the fit from the waist down is excellent and the riding performance is great. I'll hold off on buying another pair until the design issues are addressed.
