From the start, I was pretty excited when this model was released with its classic lines, round tubes, ample tire clearance and the ability to use mechanical cable shifting. I built up my Aethos in 2021 when the world had gone crazy and had to wait about three months for the abalone white colorway to finally arrive in stock. I'm running full SRAM Red, ENVE cockpit and ENVE 4.5AR wheels that are wrapped with ENVE 29c tires. The smoothness and comfort of the frame is unparalleled for long days in the saddle. Even with some pretty heavy wheels, it climbs exceptionally well. To say this bike rides like a dream is an understatement. I can only imagine this is how a magical genie feels riding a magical carpet.

Former cat1/2 rider with 35 years of riding experience and this bike is amongst the finest bikes I have ridden. It is very light, well damped and efficient, snappy and responsive in the turns without harshness over road irregularities and chatter and yet feels stiff. I can hammer all I want, pushing in the corners, sprinting in heavy gears, or ripping up hills, I never feel like there is a loss of power transfer or energy. This bike has a fantastic ride quality, I can ride FAR longer than any other bike I owned and feel fresh despite the distance. It’s ridiculously light and looks fast sitting still. I think its the best looking bike I have seen in years. Makes me feel 20 years younger! I feel this bike is best used as a goto bike for club rides, century’s and days when all you want to do is ride and melt away stress and tension having fun for the joy of turning them cranks. If you can afford to or find one, do yourself a favor and get one! You won’t regret it.
