The pump seems to be of good quality, if you're doing like I did and getting the tube spool option and have a 29"" tire it takes every ounce of energy you can muster to stretch the bands over the tube to secure it and even then the tube is fairly out of shape and bulging. I will just end up putting a couple rubber bands around my spare tube and keeping the pump in my bag without the spool. Maybe a cheap tube will wind up flatter but if you get a quality one and especially a self sealing one the spool is of little use. I would still recommend the item because the pump is fine.
