2nd pair of these winter socks if that tells you anything...great insulation for cold winter night rides with the right amount of padding to make them very comfortable.

Poor Quality

I own a few pairs of these socks. I liked them at first but after only a few months into wearing them (less than 20x) holes have worn in the heel and ball area. Considering I have pairs of wool cycling socks that have lasted 10 years, I would not recommend these, even on sale.

Very warm, the new go-to socks

These are great, the socks are nice and thick which makes them comfy and most importantly, super warm. Well worth it for the chilly rides.

Warm and toasty when the temp drops. Love these socks for the shoulder seasons and for the extra warmth when needing full shoe covers for weather. I wear a 44/ 10.25 and sized down to medium and they have been perfect. No bunching and great fit.

Great, but could be taller and reign supreme

Specialized's Merino Tall Sock from a couple years ago is my favorite sock in the history of socks--durable, warm, comfortable, ample fit--so I was hoping for more of the same from this current version. This is still a great sock: superior quality and materials than the competitors, it's super comfortable, and it fits my size 13 US (48 EU) foot better than most other socks I've tried, which are usually on the small side. This sock would be a perfect successor to the sock king if it were a couple inches taller. Living in SoCal, my standard Fall and "Winter" kit never exceeds knee warmers and long wool socks. I can't do full tights, sorry. Specialized: please reach out if you have a stash of the older merino tall socks lying around! In the meantime, extend the cuff length of these a couple inches and make us/me happy. :)
