Perfect once I’d spoken to support and figured out how to install - great service and liked the what’s app help chat - and product improves experience compared to old knackered hose
Works well on older pump. Easy to install!
I bought this to replace the air chuck on an inflator I bought that's connected to an air compressor. The chuck provided didn't work well, so I swapped the one from my Specialized Air Tool floor pump & it worked well, so I bought this replacement so that I can still use the floor pump. It clamps on well to a variety of Presta and Schraeder valves.
Works well, attached 1 to my compressor, 1 to my track pump. Good quality for (discounted) price.
Have a Parktool pump. However, the head is not good at all. Both this one to make an adaptation; it worked perfect! Now the pump works excellent and like new!
My Specialized Comp standing pump started leaking air when inflating the bicycle tires. The replacement head and hose were reasonably priced, easy to install, were a perfect fit for my pump and they resolved the issues I was having. I'm glad I didn't have to buy a new pump.
Great product.
Instead of replacing the whole pump this product works well and is easy to install.
Easy and cheap fix
Easy to install; works great.
Fit and works well
This hose works as a great replacement — even for older specialized pumps. I estimate my pump is from the mid 2000s and the hose was the same size so it fit neatly into place. I had an issue where I wasn’t able to pump easily on schrader stems and this new hose and head solved the problem.
Works well. Easy replacement.
Easy to install and saved money by being able to repair the pump that I already had.
So far, so good. Easy installation, replaced a worn head on my old Air Tool Comp.
Fit perfectly onto the pump. Works great simply makes the pump usable
Perfect replacement part
This pump head and hose can be used on barb-type hose connections. specifically check the outer diameter (O.D.) of the hose needing replacement. it should be 10mm in diameter, and you should be able to use this as a replacement. I own a 15 year old performance bike hurricane team pump and it worked as a replacement. Note: you will still need the original nut that secures the hose to the pump. oh and great customer service from specialized. The representative exceeded my expectations in their chat feature.
One of the easiest to use combo heads I’ve owned
Used as replacement for broken end of Bontrager pump. Seems slightly better made.
Came just as described and was simple to switch out on our pump. Thanks for allowing me to not have to purchase a whole new pump!
I was wanting something made of metal, but so far (2 weeks) it's working nicely.
exact fit for replacement hose and head...existing head is not serviceable.
Purchased a pump hose replacement and it came sooner than expected to our home in Hawaiʻi. The part was easy to attach and it worked perfectly! Thank you Specialized!!!
My kids lost the metal piece at the end of the hose...so needless to say I needed a new part. It arrived in just 4 days )an estimated 7-10) and was easy to trade out. Pump now works just as well as brand new, and saved me from buying a new pump. This girl is happy.
I believe that this is one of the best pump/head replacements you can buy. The price is unbeatable.
I liked the idea of replacing the hose and valve adaptor rather than buying a new bike pump. The only confusing thing about the replacement is the nut that holds the hose to the base of the pump. It literally just twists off. I never thought about heating the hose to take off the old hose and replacing it with a new one. The hose pulls off the stem and then the new hose can be wiggled and twisted to get it to fit over the stem. Do not forget to put the nut on the hose before you install the new hose. Once the hose is on the stem just tighten the nut. I have used the pump several times works great.
It is very nice to be able to buy a replacement hose and head instead of having to replace the whole pump. The pump is excellent and the replacement part is perfect. With respect to the question above from ""Jeff,"" what worked for me is as follows: Unscrew the connection for the hose at the base of the pump. Lift the nut away from the connection. Heat end of the hose where it fits over the connector piece. I used a log lighter and it does not take much time to heat the hose end, which then slips right off. Heat the end of the new hose for a very few seconds and it will slip right onto the connection. Once it cools, the seal is made. Reattach the nut that holds the connection secure and you are done.
I used my Air Tool pump for more than 11 years before I started experiencing difficulty airing up my tires. I was delighted to see this replacement head (and hose) available for sale. It installed in less than one minute and I have every reason to believe I'll get another decade of use out of this pump.
I purchased this to replace the head unit for my specialized pump. I knew it was time to replace the head unit because after 10+ years of using the pump, I believe the rubber gasket was having trouble establishing a tight fit with the presta valve (which would explain why it wouldn't hold well and would hiss air). I think the rubber had worn off and could no longer create a firm grip to the presta valve. Removal of the old rubber hose is easy, and installation of the new one is easy as well. 3 times so far I've used this new head unit and it works great!
