If being stylish and comfortable during your rainy commutes is priority number one, look no further than the Base Miles Stormproof backpack. This 23L pack features an ergonomic design that has cycling-specific straps that evenly distribute weight, no matter your position, relieving pressure and keeping you comfortable. Its waterproof construction keeps all of your gear safe from Mother Nature's wrath, while a padded laptop sleeve keeps your work essentials safe. And lastly, its design has been tested in our Win Tunnel to get you to work without having to expend any more watts than what's needed.

  • Cycling-specific straps distribute weight across your chest and enable you to ride in any position without pressure.
  • Waterproof construction protects all gear in the main pocket from the elements.
  • Reflective panels on the rear and sides increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.
  • Padded laptop sleeve moves freely so the back panel can contour to your back, not the laptop.

  • Win-Tunnel-tested to keep you as aerodynamic as possible.
  • Magnetic sternum buckle for one-handed use while riding.
  • Volume: 23L

Exactly what I was looking for in a pack.

This thing is fantastic in my opinion. The fit is superb....nicely contoured shoulder straps and an adjustable sternum strap that hold things in place nicely without a cumbersome waist strap. There is enough reflective material to be useful at night and a well placed light strap for whatever light you fancy. I really appreciate the 3 external pockets for quick access to phone, keys, wallet, etc. and the water bottle sleeve can double as a pocket for gloves, a hat, light jacket or whatever. While the interior is not super voluminous, being able to zip open the whole thing makes things really accessible. There is plenty of room for a laptop, a change of cloths, spare jacket, lunch, water bottle, extra lights, a lock, and more. I've used thing in horrible weather, from torrential downpours to snow at 32 degrees, and everything has always stayed dry. Great commuter pack worth the money.

Excellent commuter pack!!

1 of the best packs I've had. I use this for my daily commute of 25mins. The reflective panels light up in car headlights at night and the light clip is well placed. I agree with other reviewers that the black colour during the day is not super visible but the cycle light holder is in a good visible position, and I ride with lights full time anyway. An excellent bag with just enough volume (an extra couple of litres would help but I have found my routines that work for me). The bright yellow interior makes it easy to find items, much better than other packs with black inners). The pack fits better than most I have used, sits well, doesn't move at all, and the magnetic sternum strap is genius. The air flow back padding is great and the erganomic shoulder straps very comfortable. (I'm 6'3 and 85kgs). (My partner says the sternum strap doesn't suit females, so check out the female version if you want a better placed sternum strap) It is full of features such as key, wallet and phone pockets, inner document compartment and padded laptop sleeve. Most of these I don't use right now but the options are great and well placed. The side zip and roll top closures are the best features in my opinion, and it carries my laptop well. It is also the perfect size as a carry-on bag for flights, and looks professional enough in a business setting. The construction and quality is excellent. No complaints. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a medium volume commuter pack.

almost a great product

bag is securely waterproof, and fits the body better than any other backpack i've ridden with. Volume could be a little better around the middle of the bag (and the ability to remove the laptop sections if not necessary would be handy). However, the lack of colour choice is what makes this bag really bad for commuters. It's dark with no reflective components. It horrendous in night time conditions.

Too annoying to recommend

This pack has all the features you would expect of a good pack - it carries stuff and looks pretty cool. However it simply fails to stay put, as the straps constantly slip down whether there are heavy items in the bag or not. It gets two stars for carrying stuff, looking good and being waterproof.
