Yep, we just re-read the spec sheet and still can’t believe it either. The Rockhopper Elite is one helluva lot of bike.

Air-sprung fork? Let me introduce you to your new friend, Judy. Discerning when it comes to your drivetrain? You’ll find no fault—and no grade too steep—with a wide-range Shimano Deore 1x11 drivetrain. Why stop there? We didn’t, in order to allow you the pleasure of stopping yourself with Shimano’s eager-to-please and oh-so-capable MT200 hydraulic disc brakes.

Each is impressive in their own right, but the magic really lies in how they all come together into a Rockhopper that serves up singletrack with a nice big side of ‘ Whoah, so that’s what a real bike feels like.’

  • A heart of gold, presented in our lightweight yet durable Premium A1 Aluminum, the Rockhopper’s butted aluminum frame features hydroformed top and downtubes in order to keep weight low and strength high, all while providing increased standover clearance, slick internal cable routing and dropper-post compatibility.
  • With the goal of making sure that the Rockhopper offers both the best fit and best performance for every person, no matter their measure, we’ve paired each Rockhopper frame size with the optimal wheel size. The result is a Rockhopper to fit every rider and the assurance that every Rockhopper is rolling on the best-handling wheel for its frame size.
  • The Rockshox Judy TK brings size-specific travel to the show in a performance that’s sure to impress, ensuring consistent geometry and handling, regardless of frame or wheel size.
  • Shimano hydraulic disc brakes pack a mean bite but deliver their power with a refined, intuitive feel to make for a package that punches way above its pay grade.
  • Keep things simple with a durable 1x11 Shimano Deore drivetrain that offers plenty of range along with a clutch-equipped rear derailleur that keeps your ride quite—and your chain on.
  • Pair dead-reliable hubs from Formula with our 25-millimeter internal diameter, hookless Stout rims for a wheelset hat-trick: strong, light and durable.

Good but not tubeless ready

Bought this to use when we go away in our motorhome and it rides fine for a basic bike but much of the info online states the rims/tyres are tubeless ready and they are not. The rim tape on the rims is normal rim tape and no where on the tyres does it state tubeless ready. I'm suspect also where the rims are joined.

Great bike

I'm a beginner mountain bike rider and found this bike very good to go dirt trails. The Shimano gear shifting is smooth and precise. I'm 6 foot 7 (2m tall) and the XXL size fits me great. The frame is also light.

Amazing bike - great price

I was looking for a bike that had an air fork, reliable 1x drivetrain and great brakes - the RH elite is it! It handles trails with ease, and is a ton of fun. I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase. Highly recommend!

Rockhopper Review

After a couple weeks of riding this bike, I can confidently say that this bike is amazing, it makes riding up hard hills easy with its low weight and geometry, and after testing it on a black diamond trail decent, it handled exceptionally. The strong brakes, a wide gearing system with a clutch, and the adjustable air suspension are just a few things I love about this bike The only downsides are quick release Axel's, unfortunately it doesn't have thru Axel's, which does limit it's stability on the trail. It also doesn't have a dropper post, however this is no big deal, as there is room for one through internal routing for one, and the last thing I wish this bike had was more grippy tyres, I understand that it needs to roll fast as it is a XC bike, but the more grippy tyres would handle the decent better. However these are just small things All in all, I really love this bike, and would recommend it to anyone who is a beginner to intermediate rider, looking for a more reliable bike
