Let's get something clear, the Stumpjumper EVO Alloy isn't a "normal" trail bike. It's built to get gnarly, plain and simple. Featuring the same all-new design as its carbon brethren—including an adjustable head tube angle, 150mm of performance tuned travel, the adaptability of S-Sizing, and SWAT™ Door integration—in a lightweight yet tough M5 Alloy chassis, you're going to be able to bomb down trails that you thought you couldn't touch without a full-blown DH rig.

The Stumpjumper EVO Elite Alloy is built to brawl, no question. With a bullet-proof SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, stout 30mm-wide alloy wheels, and Rx Tuned Fox FLOAT Factory suspension, there’s no trail too rowdy.

  • All the travel in the world is useless without the proper shock tuning and kinematics. For the new Stumpjumper EVO design, we prioritized kinematic performance. Applying lessons learned while developing the Enduro, then following that with more than 1,000 hours of field and suspension lab development, we’ve not only improved the pedaling performance of the Stumpjumper, but we’ve made it more capable, agile, and lively. We increased anti-squat, so the suspension better resists pedal bob, and we further improved bump performance on square-edge hits. Bottom line? This thing shreds trails, not legs.

  • The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper EVO is our most progressive yet. Long, low, slack, short offset fork, steeper seat tube angle – these are requirements for modern progressive riding. But not everyone jibs the same way, which is why the geo on the new Stumpjumper EVO is fully adjustable with six different settings. You can adjust the BB height by 10mm, you can adjust your head angle by two-degrees, and you can make these adjustments independently of each other. Finally, if you want to go full-party mullet-mode, the EVO lets you run a 27.5-inch rear wheel mated with a 29-inch front.

  • Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that ensures benchmark handling and flawless performance, regardless of frame or rider size. Whether you’re a jump-happy grom riding an S1, or a DH-fiend giant in need of the lengthy S6, you’ll experience the same ride traits – rail-sharp cornering and balanced front and rear stiffness – at the lightest-possible weight.

  • We introduced the SWAT™ door on the Stumpjumper in 2016, adding room IN your frame for those “oh sh**t” necessities like pumps and spare tubes, and immediately rendering jersey pockets redundant.

Ain’t bumpy with the stumpy

This thing rips! First off the bike itself will turn heads. The silver and black make it easy to accent and gives it a timeless look. Got this on sale and it was a steal! If you can get this bike please do, this was my first full sus and it is so easy to adapt and configure to your needs, climbing is slow but every ride feels like I’m just getting stronger. Downhills are a blast!

BEST BIKE OWNED IN 45 YEARS

This gem is well thought out! Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, best bike ever built! I get so many compliments and people drool over this bike. If I were to build a bike, it would be this bike. Paint, fit and finish and all, is fabulous! Some things were meant to be hyped and this bike is the hype monster! It just looks great hanging on my wall, but is meant to be rid'n hard and can handle anything. It's been a while since I've been this excited over a purchase and I felt like I got my moneys worth! Thank you Specialized for your quality build!!!!!

Great all around bike.

You can build your own bike, or buy this without having to put too much thought in piecemealing a configuration on your own. Its a great all around product with thoughtful about leaning towards a high end parts configuration. Is it a carbon frame? no. But do you really need one? I'd recommend this to any one who wants a long term bike instead of buying a lower end one and then getting the itch for better components iwithin few months of ownership

Stumpy elite

Just an amazing bike, the suspension is amazing and I love the feel of it. I would highly recommend this bike to any enduro rider. Easily works for down hill and does good on tech, jumps, and drops. Very good for cornering. I think this is an amazing build by specialized and they did an amazing job of making my eyes happy by looking at it.

Love At First Ride (4 PRs)

I have needed a new bike for a couple seasons now, did a lot of homework before choosing (my 5th Stumpy) and going for the Evo Elite. Wow! Absolutely perfect for my riding style and terrain (Trail/Enduro/Dirt Jumps) and endless configurations of geo and shock adjustments. 4 PRs (up and down) on the first ride of my usual circuit. Get one for yourself before they’re gone!

If this bike is in your price range I highly recommend this bike because I truly don’t think you can get a better mtb for this price that is as capable as this bike, it really can do everything.

I’m in love

Love this bike! I knew it wouldn’t be the best for climbing but it does surprisingly well! But you pay to go down and wow was she worth it! It eats up the roots going down making me feel secure and confident. I’ll never outgrow this one…highly recommend

By the time i rigged

By the time i rigged her up for a ride she was 16.1kg. She will make your legs strong on the up hill but gives you a sweet ride in the decent. The fox suspension on her is divine.

Best bike ever, perfect for

Best bike ever, perfect for the person who really rides hard and wants something that is for the occasional bike park rip or the Local trail loop, super quit, and strong bike only complaint is the rims I’ve dented 3 roval rims in the past with 21 psi and weighing 130 pounds, I suggest upgrading your rims or getting cushcore if you don’t have the money, other than that this bike is perfect.

This thing is a battleship.

This thing is a battleship. It’s big and heavy but you can go to war on it and it just floats over everything. Climbs like a goat, and while it may be slower than a typical trail or XC bike on flat climbs like fire roads, it’s very compliant on technical climbs where it distributes weight perfectly and offers a ton of grip. Only complaint is the rear hub engagement which could be much better, but Roval offers an upgrade that’s easy to install for a reasonable price to improve it. This bike won’t replace an XC, but for moderate trails up to black all-mountain courses, this bike is outstanding.

The Search Is Over

I was a little concerned about the transition to such a 'big bike' as a climber since I live in the North East US with lots of mid to short burst, rooty, rocky, slick grinds . . . With that there, are plenty of gnarly downhills, the worst of the worst I just couldn't ever get myself to tackle on my Cannondale . . . The EVO has upped my confidence across the board 100%, what a beast this bike is . . . I don't think you'll be disappointed, I'm certainly not and happy I finally made the investment.

A new stud in the stable!

I'm a 56 y.o. retired pipefitter. I bought this frameset as a new project. Man, what a joy! Building this bike was so much fun. Stumpy Evo frameset, GX drivetrain, Lyrik Ultimate, Roval carbon rims, I9 A35 stem, One up bars, SWAT storage. This is a dream build, and I built it. I'd have retired 10 years ago if I knew I'd have this much fun. It's a joy to ride. This old man is shreddin' again with a big smile on my face.
