This system is wonderful! If you want to be safe and have much better functionality of your power you need this!

Not sure why Specialized requires that you add a $50 accessory for a 5K bike but you must finish the build for a safe road bike

This is absolutely required gear - works perfectly, well made and completely baffling that it doesn’t come installed. It’s a hassle to unwind your bar tape, and install it, but the instructions are simple and installation isn’t the fault of this part.

This item enables the assist to be turned off as well as setting the other modes, which cannot be done using the standard controller without holding down the button. I decided to put the buttons and cables under the handlebar tape and the rubber brake covers, which can be done with care. It would be nice if the item was supplied with spare sealing tape and a 15mm cutter especially as it is expensive for what it is. Hope this helps, that said I would recommend adding this item to your bike.

Mode Indicator on cross bar somewhat hard to see in bright sunlight but with the button seeing it is not necessary nor is taking your hand off the bars and looking down. Easy instsllation.

I have installed these on my Creo SL Carbon and find them most useful as you can go up or down on the motor settings, and don’t have to cascade around as you have to using the TCU. In my opinion they should be a standard fitting on this bike in the same way they are on Trek’s latest e-road bikes. You also don’t have to take your hand off the bars to effect a change in setting.

If you have a Turbo CREO, this is a must for your bike.

Placed at the bend of the handle bars so its easy to use with my thumbs.
