When we developed the Tarmac, we didn't just want it to be fast. We wanted it to be fast everywhere. Long climbs, windy flats, Grand Tour stages, local fondos—we built a race bike to be the most complete out there. How’d we do it? We started with our Rider-First Engineered™ frame with a perfectly-tuned ride quality for every size, added in some serious aero tech that makes it 30 seconds faster than the Tarmac SL5 over 40 kilometers, and then made it 20% lighter. Nothing is lighter, faster, and better handling.

This Tarmac comes with a reliable spec that includes 10-speed Shimano Tiagra mechanical shifting, quick-stopping hydraulic disc brakes, durable Axis Sport Disc wheels, and our fan-favorite Power saddle.

  • For the construction of the Tarmac, we utilized advanced aerospace composite optimization software to revolutionize the construction and layup of our new FACT 9r carbon.

  • 500 pieces creating 7 different sizes with the same tuned ride–that’s Rider-First Engineered™. We examine every ply of carbon on every frame size to ensure that all of our performance targets come through. To make sure you get the perfect ride, every frame gets a unique layup schedule with different ply arrangements, orientations, quantities of material in specific areas, and sometimes, even exclusive thicknesses and types of carbon itself.

  • Aerodynamics is the most important thing we can do to make you faster, but with the Tarmac, we added aero features without any cost to weight. Through development, areas were discovered where we could add aero for free—a new fork shape and dropped seatstays with aero tubes. The result? A Tarmac that’s approximately 30 seconds faster over 40 kilometers.

  • The updated the geometry is based on countless Retül data points and professional rider input. This enabled us to develop a Performance Road Geometry that perfects the combination of a responsive front-end and short wheelbase, which delivers instantaneous response and optimal power transfer.

FABULOUS Bike and Ride

Have never felt so good, free, in control and capable on a bike! This is my first Tarmac! I dream about cycling - which never happened pre-Tarmac! I'm in LOVE! Worth every cent/dollar! You won't be sorry.

Tarmac SL6 tiagra

Well balance , rapid acceleration, good handling , stiff , bumpy on gravel roads, light on climbs , wheels need upgrade and tires . Stock tires slips at times. I really like the bike got some prs on it, but not a lot of difference compared to my 2011 Allez sport.

Wow

This SL6 is my first upgrade road bike, I have the Diverage E5 Gravel bike and man oh man, what a difference. Obviously two different bikes but the SL6 is soooooo light, fast, responsive, I don't think I will ride my gravel bike any more, lol (I will). But seriously, this bike is everything I hoped for without breaking the bank too bad. I look forward to upgrading it over time but wow! I'm super impressed with the SL6, very happy customer.

Massive upgrade from entry level road bike

After getting “hooked” on road riding over the last year—on an entry level road bike—I made the jump to this Tarmac (SL6 2022). What an upgrade! The beginning and ending of my review, really, is that this bike is fast— in a way like no bike I’ve ridden. Presumably this is the point where cycling technology advances of the last few decades really kick in (ie at around this price point), but I’m no expert in the details. All I know is that this bike feels very fast, is fun to ride, and thus has led me to ride more, join a cycling club, and enter some races. What more could one ask for?

Yes would recommended buying ,

Yes would recommended buying , the only thing is the groupset given is the lower end not up to the retail cost price . With this kind of high price should provide better groupset for consumer . Just because of the brand and advertisements shouldnt let the consumer suffer for the pricing .
