Got me out on my bike again

I've had many Specialized bikes and this must be my favourite, (with the possible exception of my 1990's Stumpjumper M2). I'm 59, and live in a hilly area. I was finding the dread of going out putting me off. Now I just jump on this thing and if I get to a hill that is too much I know I can get a helping hand. It allows me to ride as hard or as easy as I want. Settings are customisable, but in summary : Off - just a heavy road/gravel bike Eco - probably easier than my carbon road bike Sport - gets me up steep hills without blacking out ! Turbo - rarely used, but it's there and that's reassuring The build is rock solid without a creak or a groan, (other than my knees)

Turbo CREO 2 Expert

66 yr old 10,000 mile a year rider. My first Ebike and I cant be happier with my choice. Solid bike. Rides great on road and gravel. Setting it up right now with some small fork bags and a rear rack / trunk bag to do a 4 day glamp ride. I have the range extender also. Have done three 75-85 mile roadish rides with 30-35ft per mile inclines and a couple 50-60 mile gravel rides with 60-75ft per mile inclines and still have 50-75% of my battery left. Use the stock wheels/tires on chunky gravel and have a couple other carbon wheelsets that I use on tarmac (48mm slicks for solo and 40mm slicks for group rides) So glad Specialized used SRAM for the groupset on these bikes. For the weight of the bike, it rides really well without the battery assist and I have to check that I have it turned off at times because when you get this bike rolling on the flats you feel like your getting "assisted" Going to get the new CREO 2 Comp E5 when it's available so I can loan it out to my friends to ride.
