All too often, corners are cut to meet price-points in the entry-level road bike market, but the Allez redefines what it means to be "entry level." Focusing on weight, refinement, and reliability like nothing else in its class, the Allez is the first to make these technologies accessible to everyone. Whether you're just getting into road cycling, commuting, or looking for a new bike, the Allez is just as performance-packed as it is versatile.

For the build, this Allez features reliable Shimano Claris shifting, durable Axis Sport alloy wheels, our new super-comfy Body Geometry Bridge saddle, and well-protected RoadSport tires.

  • Not only does a lightweight bike feel better when you're climbing up a hill, but it's also essential when you're carrying your bike up to the 5th floor, and this was at the forefront of the frame design. With a redesigned E5 Alloy frame, the Allez features a class-leading weight. Aggressively thin-walled, yet tough, tubes have been implemented to save weight and this results in over a 450g (1-pound) reduction in the frame and fork alone when compared to some models of yesteryear.
  • Entry-level road bikes often times feature either alloy or cheap carbon fiber forks that greatly detract from the overall ride quality. But with a full FACT carbon fiber fork, the Allez is better handling, smoother riding, and lower in weight—floating over rough chip-seal and carving through corners like a slalom skier.
  • For the geometry, we developed the Allez by utilizing our vast Retül fit database. This meant creating a geometry that's sure to cover a broad range of positions while still providing the performance-minded handling you'd expect from your first bike.
  • This Allez also features integrated rack and fender mounts, allowing you to get weight of your backpack off you and onto a lightweight rack. This not only makes for a good road bike, but it also enables you to transform it into a fast commuter

Excellent intro road bike - but way beyond intro

Specialized has done it again. Big fan from way back (Had a Hardrock Spt. Mtn bike in the 90's). First road bike and it has features beyond just an "intro" bike. Claris groupset is a bit gappy with the 8-speed cassette; but with proper adjustment it's workable. Highly recommended.

Newer edition of my former stallion!

Specialized, the bicycle of former greats - Boonen and Cancellara. Current Champions such as Juliane Alaphillippe and many other stars. I used to ride one. Yes sir, I rode a Specialized Allez Elite in the coloure way - Red, and white lettering. It was so good that I would almost felt that "magic carpet" feel of much pricier bicycles. Folks, IMPORTANT thing, only and dry chain daily or bi-weekly, afterwards take the time to adjust cable tension Via. derailleur barrel adjusters. My lack of understanding with this important bike maintenance principle is why this bike is off to the races, (and not mine]. Specialized, Long live bicycles, Long live fabrication, And, LONG.LIVE.ADVOCACY! Hoorah!

Fast pig

The road bike is practical and a good winter bike one you won’t hesitate to pavement pound with and build up as you advance in your pace plan and cycling needs. The brakes need an upgrade and the wheels as well. Nevertheless, I plan to keep it all original and embrace the time in the saddle. Waiting on the next series of bikes from Specialized TARMAC expert all the way. Finally, I would recommend this bike to the entry level athlete and she’s a fast pig and she travels well alongside the cycling community and the badging represents Specialized embracing every athlete as they have a bike for every rider and every age.

Very good value

At this price point, this bike is a really nice deal - Claris shifting, decent wheels, decent rim brakes, decent seat, good handlebars, sweet aluminum frame. Piece of advice: consider using some clearbra (clear vinyl removable adhesive, cut to size) for the downtube+fork if you're using a u-lock, in order to preserve the matte finish (any paint job will get dinged if uncovered).

Great First Bike

This was my first road bike and it was a great choice. I used it for long group rides, training at the bike track and even raced it several times. Comfortable, relatively light weight and very easy to maintain yourself.
