The liner in the helmet does not stay clipped in when I tighten it on my head. It is comfortable and lightweight. It fits well with my earbuds in.

Great fit, light weight but heavier than the previous version. But what the heck did they do with the visor? Its fixed, to short and pretty much cosmetic. Bring back the older Ambush or create an Ambush 3 with a adjustable visor.

Needed a helmet in a hurry after cracking my Ambush. Figured the Ambush 2 would be an upgrade, and was super disappointed to find it was not. Spend the extra money and get the original!

I recently bought my Ambush helmet, and absolutely love it! The fit is superb, it is so light you almost forget you're wearing it! The adjustable straps are a welcome addition and I love the styling of it, and the red matches my Trail gloves perfectly 👍

First of all I love specialized products and am brand loyal. The Ambush 2 fits well and I'm sure in an event of a crash would be super protective. However I really don't like the visor. It looks goofy, it large and sits high up on the helmet, not adjustable and provides zero protection against the sun. I thought overtime I might be able to accept the visor issue, but I'm looking for a new MTB helmet as I really don't like the style of this helmet.

This is the third Ambush 2 helmet I have purchased. They are stylish, comfortable, and protect my noggin. I didn’t actually need this one, but it was such a great deal that I couldn’t resist buying it.

I've tried a variety of top brand helmets, TLD, POC, Leatt and Bell to name a few. I ordered the same size as my road helmet, I sit comfortably around the middle of M size. While the helmet sits alright on the front-back axis, the hard sides push against my head. After tightening it's uncomfortable. It's also pretty hard to put any beanie or other thin hat under it. The visor is outside of my field of view entirely. It's purely a decoration.

Coming from a TLD A2 Ambush design 2 a bit bulkier. Fit wise a tad bigger for my 56/57 noggin. Don’t seemed to have much difference in weight though. But overall offers more protection coverage. Considering to get tactic 4 as a spare helmet

This is the worst design. The visor is not functional, is not adjustable, does nothing for blocking the sun and the visor makes it impractical to ride in the sun. I am in the middle of a twenty five mile ride and I stopped to write this review. I bought the Ambush II because I had great luck with my Ambush I. If I had not crashed I would not have bought a new helmet. I will be giving this helmet away and buying another more functional helmet. Truly unfortunate, I genuinely have liked my Specialized purchases. Did anyone ride with this helmet before final production started.

Helmet is great, comfort is next level.

Having owned an Ambush 2 for 10 months now I will say the following, 1. It is comfortable. 2. The visor is USELESS! It blocks neither sun nor rain. It constantly gets in the way and because of it's design, seems to hit every single low hung branch and leaf, which will eventually lead to damage. 3. Specialised only carries replacement visors in Black. No other colours. So WHEN you break one, and you will...good luck getting a replacement. Best of all, Specialized doesn’t care. They will just direct you to the spares website and politely say, thanks for the £150, now go away. (I'm being nice. The email from them seemed far less so).

Looks a little goofy with the visor but it is comfy and I have yet to sweat down onto my glasses despite mountain biking in 105 degree heat. Buy white and look like an Imperial biker scout

Being a guy with zero hair I love this helmet. Great protection, venting and fit. Also having a maximum protection rating is great.

Nice fit as any helmet can preform the same function but not all can have a stupid fixed visor. must have been looking at the wrong end of the trail when they thought up this masterpiece .

Best helmet I’ve ever had, fits lovely, the dark blue is a great colour. Ventilation is supreme, I’m a sweaty dude but didn’t find this helmet at all hot, even on 40k plus rides. Fitting system is spot on, really easy to get a nice fit. I’ll be buying another when I need one

My previous two helmets were Ambush and I have been very happy with them. Especially the ventilation and the adjustable visor for riding into the Sun late in the day. The fixed visor is a deal breaker for me.

I don't get the placement of the visor on this helmet. I actually use my visor to help block the sun when riding into it. This visor is fixed in place and sits way too high. If I tilt my head to use it to actually block the sun, I'm practically looking straight down. The sunglasses holder is a nice feature.

This is the most comfortable helmet i have ever worn. besides being extremely light it is also very breathable. The adjustability is very well thought out and snug around the head.

Light, great ventilation, safe, comfortable. My only complaint is I wish it had a sweat collecting tab so I could control when and where it drips. Specialized does a great job with gear and this is no exception. The sunglass holder is brilliant. Note this runs large. I wear a L or L/XL but in this I almost could have gotten a medium. Went with the L but it's snugged all the way down when I'm not running a headband/head warmer.

I’ve tried many different helmets over the years & they usually give me headaches after a few hours of riding. The solution was to loosen my helmet if I wanted to go for long rides. As you can see, not the ideal situation… But I have recently received the new ambush & I must say I’m extremely happy, the helmet is light, comfortable, looks good & on top of it all, NO MORE HEADACHES! The way the helmet is made gives you plenty of protection in the back, I really like that & the new ajustement system is simply amazing. Overall best helmet I’ve ever had! Great job guys

Have struggled with helmets for years and thought I would take a gamble on the Ambush 2 in a hope that this would be the answer and happy to say this bad boy doesn’t move at all! Very stoked with my purchase. Cheers team

Great fit and very comfortable. The only complaint I have is that I bought this particular helmet because I wanted to pair it with the Angi system, and it is not very clear where to install the Angi sensor. There is a spot on the plastic piece inside the helmet, but the instructions say it needs to be on a hard flat spot at midline. So, that’s unclear but otherwise great helmet.

Helmet looks super high end and is really comfortable. Love the ventilation and sunglass storage.

I have always loved the Ambush helmet and have owned 4 of them. This version has plastic straps for the tension system that run down the side of the helmet that cut into my head terribly. Unwearable.

I’ve been a ambush fan for a long time the original has been my favorite helmet I just got the ambush 2 and I’ve worn it on 3 rides now. The fit is great, the weight is close to the original, ventilation is awesome but my only gripe is no adjustable visor. Not sure why they decided to go with a sunglass holder rather than a adjustable visor.

I have been wearing the ambush for a number of years now and it is my all time favorite helmet. So I got the ambush 2 this week and got 3 rides wearing it. The fit and comfort is great but not able to adjust the visor up and down is just plain dumb. Who cares about putting your glasses on your helmet we are not roadies for what this helmet is intended for some or most would be wearing goggles anyways.
