These fit to size for me. I've put 1500 miles on them and they still look new inside and out. I ride on gravel and road. The only thing that bothered me was I would start to feel the cleat on the bottom of my foot in rides that went over 25 miles. I put in some insoles and that took care of the issue. I think it's the price you pay for soft bottom shoes and I'm OK with that. They look good, walk good and I don't have to walk like a duck. It's all good.
I’ve have had 5 or 6 pairs of specialized shoes over 15+ years - All the same size, all fitted and performed really well, including a pair in this style from 2009 which I was hoping to refresh. The fit and quality of these particular shoes is off. I have wide feet, and these are both far too wide for my feet in the toe box, while also being short enough to press the toe against the front of the shoe. Also the quality and feel of the materials seems cheap. If I had not bought directly I would have suspected they were fakes.
Lace ups and Velcro strap to contain laces was best option for my wide, high arch foot. However, tongue part is high and presses into ankle so need cushiony socks. Only grey available in my size at time of ordering, prefer a brighter colour.
Wow… I love the fit and especially live the price
Excellent quality
Poor quality, bad fit. Returned next day
Tongue fit uncomfortable
Fit well and comfortable
Not my first choice in color, but they were marked down. Love the fit!
Perfect fit and very comfy. Very good value. I use them primarily for gravel riding.
Shoe fit true to size, body geometry comfortable and rigid pedal platform is good. I like that I am able to switch between clips or flat pedals.
Good fit and well made. The shoes is true to size.but shipping not so fast maybe due to the carrier late to pick up the item.
The fit is perfect, very light and comfortable
Very good so far, bought online, quality was as expected, good fitment.
Really happy with them.
Very comfortable. I wear 8 1/2 but only available in even size for men. Can’t wait to get on the bike in the Spring.
I have had four rides with the shoes at this point in the review. That being said, the shoe does have very good support but is still a bit stiff. The rating is also based that it is a very good value for the price I paid. If it were expensive, it would slip to 4 stars.
Love my new shoes. Perfect fit and very comfortable and supportive on and off the bike. This is my second pair as I keep a second bike at my parents in Canada and will take these there to replace my old shoes.
Ugly colors. Matches my bike 🤣
Easy to walk in and easy to put on and a good fit once on. Good platform for pedaling and walking.
I love my Rime 1.0 shoes! Light on the feet. Great support, plenty of room with enough snugness for controlled riding. Also great to walk around in when off the mountain bike. I have issues with plantar fibromas and require good support and after riding with these shoes over the past 6 months my feet couldn't be happier!
The shoes are somewhere between "good" and "great," but I think more on the side of "good." I have ridden approximately 500 KM since I bought the shoes both on platform pedalsm, on a mountain bike, and spsd clipless pedals, on a gravel bike. Riding clipless pedals is an improvement over the platform simply because there is a definite shoe slide off the foot position on the pedals on the platforms. While the added stiffness on the sole material is very welcomed as far as power transfer, in the very sandy roads I ride, the sand decreased friction leading to the "slide." I have not ridden in rainy weather, so I don't know their performance under these conditions. The old shoes with softer soles and additional surface contact did well on the sandy conditions. The gravel rides have been substantially better with clipless, the shoe barely registers as far as weight and comfort, and these things are good things. My only very small gripe, and on yesterday's ride it did not register, was the slightly stiff tongue, on one ride I had to stop and reposition the tongue since it was "digging" into the area of contact, and only on my right shoe.
I dig my new kicks. (Is that a mixed metaphor?) Terrific shoe so far. My feet feel much more “in command” on my pedals, and I am no longer experiencing pain in my knees.
After two other brands of MTB shoes that I suffered through, I finally found THE SHOE. Very comfortable, true to size and my heels don't slip causing blisters on long rides. I loved my first pair so much that when they went on sale I bought another pair as backup. Very happy girl that can now shred it without sore feet.
So far I love them. true to size - fit perfect
Just what I was looking for - a SPD bike shoe that I can walk around comfortably while touring on bike.
To begin with, I ride six days a week and after 800 miles of doing it with a pair of ASICS gel, I finally came to the conclusion that mountain bike shoes would be the practical and more comfortable option. Nevertheless, it IS. You need these shoes or a different version of this shoe by Specialized to get the best of the best during and after your cadence cycling. Finally, color is amazing and bright !!!!
great shoe for hike and bike adventures.
I have exactly 23,5 cm size , but shoes are small. My toes hurt front
Perfect! The Best mtb shows I ever had
Very comfortable shoes. I color looks great and matches my camelbak. had to go 2 sizes larger for correct fit.
Shoe grips very well to my pedals and is so light! It’s like I’m barefoot! I would recommend the shoe to anyone looking for a solid mtb shoe that won’t brake the bank.
Nice shoe for riding and walking.
Nice shoe. I got a good price on the color. Who doesn’t like Carolina Blue.
Awesome shoes fits well
Love the shoes ordered ones size larger than normal sized shoes.
Very comfortable and easy to walk in
Just returned from a big bikepacking trip with lots of hike-a-bike and many miles pedaling, my feet felt great and the shoes held up well. I will buy these again.
Great fit and very comfortable. This is my second pair. I do allot of hike a bike in rocky terrain. Shoes grip up nicely and are comfortable on rides too! Perfect color match with my 2020 Enduro Comp.
Great shoes! Fit well and greatly reduce foot fatigue from pedaling. Easy to walk in and very comfortable.
These shoes are reasonably comfortable and tough. Just having a strap across the shoelaces is a big help to me. I am pretty hard on my equipment,so I am hoping that theses shoes stand up over time.
Didn't need new shoes, but these were the same color as my new bike. Normally I steer clear of laces, but these got the snug fit I need. And I can wear them to and from the trail, unlike my fancy shoes.
First time that I bought shoes that were perfect. Normally take hours but with these wow fit great. Use them for my bike riding and love that I can walk to. Will buy my next shoes from them again
Great very happy. Wish there where 1/2 sizes a little big. 2 pair of socks fixed that. Looks like it's missing 1 set of eye holes just before the last, might be a problem over long haul.
After a 20 year plus break from road biking I bought a new Specialized road bike. Since I'm riding again just for exercise, I bought the cheaper MTB shoes. They fit very well. And even new as they are, they are comfortable.
If you are racing, this shoe is not recommended, get the next model up from this one. Sorry forgot the models name. This shoe is best for all around riding. Plus if you want to stop at your local cafe, your not going to waddle in. The shoe is stiff but not overly so like some of the pricer models and road shoes. It works well wih flats or clipless..
