Minimalist roadside repair kit that neatly tucks securely under seat thanks to the SWAT bolt on system. This gives me room below to mount my radar tail light on the seat post. Not sure about how the wet and road grit/grime will effect the rather exposed components. Time will tell. My only gripe - it really needs a 6mm hex key for undoing the wheel through bolt.
Hidden under the tiny "Read More" link, you will find the most important piece of information about this product, which is that IT DOESN'T FIT SPECIALIZED SADDLES. It only fits some subset of saddles called SWAT saddles. It is mounted by two screws that align with mounting points specifically added to those saddles, not by any sort of universal mounting solution, so it WILL NOT FIT ANY OTHER SADDLES.
I really wanted to like this given the low profile, but there are several things wrong with it: 1. Don't even think about relying on the CO2 nozzle. It's garbage and broke on my first use. 2. The velcro is poor quality. After just a few months of use, it's fraying in several places and starting to separate. 3. The orientation of the strap doesn't make much sense. Not that this area could be aero-optimized, but it wraps down around towards the seat post and hangs towards the front (catching whatever turbulent wind is in this area). It would have made more sense to put the loop on the bottom so you can pull the strap towards the back / top. Will likely go back to the Silca Mattone or another aero bag.
Very streamlined, efficient way to carry all your tire repair needs! Use a second one (inner portion only) to organize/ tube, co2 &popper, tire plug kit, and tire lever on enduro bike (w/ a frame strap). Great product!
lost tubes and a tool on the 2nd ride out. I tried to just keep a tube but if your rolling rough rodes the vibration loosens the velcro and allows equipment to fall out. It Does have a small bungee to help prevent this but its cheap and broke within a few uses. would not recommend it.
Best bang for your buck
Good piece of equipment
When it comes to spare tubes and tools, I hate bulky sleeves, etc. The Bandit is ideal for me because it is so compact, but complete. I highly recommend this spare tube system.
I’m very happy with this super clean & minimalist setup. I want to carry a tube, lever, and CO2 on long rides but didn’t want a cavernous seat pack. The road bandit gets the job done in a tidy and secure way.
It’s great fits perfectly under the seat
This was very disappointing. I loved the idea of ditching my saddle back for a lower profile solution, but I discovered when it arrived that it is not compatible with any of my three saddles. I wish Specialized would have made something that had more cross-compatibility.
Simple, tucked away storage.
Excellent design & quality. I have one on each of my saddles.
works great, very well thought out and nice integration into my power saddle.
Fantastic product. Installation was a bit confusing on first glance, but it is actually extremely easy. Works great with specialized powercomp saddle.
Secure and you forget its even on your bike....which is what you want!
Easy to install, sturdy, and minimal enough to not even be noticeable.
Light minimalist functional
Awesome product. Carries what I need high enough for my radar.
Nice and easy way to store a backup inner tube!
Great idea use the screws underneath your saddle and make sure Velcro is tight
nice and compact/discreet
Nice and minimalist, low profile. So far so good. Hopefully don’t have to use it much.
Incredible design.
Great for a local ride, mainly covering flats.
I was using a keg for my spare and tools but with the weather turning warmer, I wanted to carry 2 water bottles. This little baby was the perfect solution.
It's light and arranged very well No room for multi tool so that goes in your pocket
This product is excellent for the price point. It can store all the essentials you need to fix a flat without having to worry about whether the straps on your saddle bag have come loose. Very compact, discreet and secure.
I never liked the way a saddle bag looked on my bike. For years I carried my flat kit and multitool in my jersey. This made my jersey sag and stretch. . . so I took away one of my water bottles and started running a keg to hold my gear. I was now compromising my hydration! Once I saw the Road Bandit on a friends bike I immediately picked one up. Who ever came up with this design is a genius! You car barely see the Road Bandit under your saddle. Pick one up and see for yourself.
I love carrying this on my road bike. Stores a flat kit easy and completely out of the way. A lot less bulky than the other options on the market. Been using it for over a year with zero complaints.
I hate the look of bulky saddlebags. This invention is genius. Minimal and I get so many compliments!
Has a very minimal look, the design is almost reto. Saves spoiling the lines/style of your bike with a saddle bag.
