With seven wins at Paris-Roubaix, our Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The all-new Roubaix Comp now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 2.0 that gives you more control and damping options, a new Pavé seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered™ frame that’s shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don’t call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision we made. This is the new Roubaix.

This Roubaix Comp provides a tremendous value, but like the frame itself, this value doesn’t come with any compromises. We spec’d it with SRAM's wireless Rival eTap AXS 12-speed groupset for its crisp shifts and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, as well as smooth and sturdy DT R470 Disc wheels, the all-new S-Works Pavé seatpost, 30mm Turbo Pro tires, and our fan-favorite Power Comp saddle.

  • The new frame delivers compliance without compromise via the perfect balance of aerodynamics, light overall weight via a FACT 10r carbon construction, compliance, and Rider-First Engineering. With tube shapes that were born in our FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is more aero than the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure the weight and ride quality, we turned to a Rider-First Engineered™ design to deliver optimal stiffness and compliance across all sizes, from 44 to 64cm. Of course, the frame has shed some serious weight in the process. And to prep you for your own Hell of the North, we’ve made room for 33mm tires.

  • To go along with the new frame, we’ve also developed a totally-new S-Works Pavé seatpost. Not only is it the first compliant seatpost that’s also aerodynamic, it does so without any additional weight or finicky contraptions. Starting with the same D-shape design found on the Tarmac, we took its compliance a step further by building additional flex into the upper and developing a new drop-clamp design in the frame. This provides plenty of compliance, while staying perfectly balanced with the front-end, so you get a smooth, balanced ride no matter how rough the road.

  • The Future Shock 2.0 is the result of our pro riders’ demands for the cobbles of Roubaix. It’s smoother, faster, and gives you more control via a knob atop the stem. This knob adjusts compression from fully-open to stiff, while hydraulically-damped internals control rebound. Add it up, and this latest version will reduce fatigue and increase your speed, no matter the terrain. The new Smooth Boot, top cap, and Future Stem also enhance the aesthetic, so you get a clean transition from head tube to stem.

1300 miles in, still love the bike

I wrote just after I got the bike, now with 1300 miles on it, I am still loving the ride. Am noticing the Future Shock 2, it does not take out the hard hits from holes, but lots of the small vibrations. Am loving the shifters more, but feel at times that with 11 in the rear, this could have been built as a 1X. In bright sun, the ruby color is spectacular! Just added a Garmin Edge 840 - the SRAM shifters are recognized by it, which is good as I have trouble remembering/seeing (bifocals) which chain ring I am on - now it is on a screen where I can see it.

Awsome bike, the ultimate combination of speed, weight and comfort.

I got the Specialized Roubaix Comp - Rival , the SRAM etap is super smooth for switching gears, the ride is comfortable and smooth on the roads, also when they are already took a lot of beating or headstone made... There is a reason why Christoph STARSSER, 6 time Race across America (RAM) Winner and Winner of the Trans Continental Race in 2022 trusts in the S-Works Roubaix. Made to sit on it for a long time and it is really great on the body. With the words of Wolfgang FASCHING, when choosing your bike for longer distance comfort is key, everything else is just hard! The Specialized Roubaix earned that name and keeps improving it to create the ultimate combination of speed, weight and comfort.

Great Bike

Ride fast and comfortably for a long time. That's it. This bike is sleek, comfortable, and I still feel way quicker in it than I have on others that I've ridden. It's the absolute perfect fit for me and I would recommend this model to anyone.

Just got it, 10 miles on it

Picked it up yesterday to replace a 2009 Allez Elite. Initial impressions: 1) the ruby red color is brighter on the website. Hope it looks better it bright sunlight. 2) Bought the bike for Future Shock 2.0 (I have bad hand arthritis). So far, have not really noticed it. 3) Love the disk brakes - much easier on the hands. Not painful to brake which was a problem with hard braking before. 4) Did not care about the electronic shifting in purchasing and have been wowed by it. No pain in shifting which was a problem at times before. 5) Front fork is a bit steeper angle - quicker steering and less secure feel doing downhill. Expect to grow accustom to it. 6) Is a delight to ride.

Best All-round Bike

This is my 2nd Roubaix. I’ve had tens of bikes, including Tarmac S-works, but the Roubaix is the best all-round bike. It can’t be beaten.

Nice bike!

I had to do a custom build since it's impossible to find a finished bike configured this way. I was able to replicate the Comp features incl the SRAM Di2. Love the bike. Rode the Trek Domane, which I thought I wanted. Strong preference for the feel of the Roubaix. BTW, I have zero brand prefernce so this was entirely a choice based on the feel of the bike and the counsel of my fitter. Very glad that I found the right bike for my last rides....

Great Bike!

I love my Roubaix comp! Out of my 5 bikes, it's the one I ride the most and is the most comfortable. The only difference is that my Roubaix has Ultegra vs. sram. Futureshock is amazing as I can tell a difference when I ride one of my bikes without futureshock. The geometry of the Roubaix is just perfect too as it's not too race-y, but also not fully relaxed either. If you are looking for a great looking and riding bike, you can't go wrong with the Roubaix!

I feel lucky in this

I feel lucky in this time of bike shortages to have bought my new Roubaix Comp. Purchasing through Specialized on-line was easy and seamless. The $50 shipping fee was reasonable and it took only a week and a half to get it. The bike was packed well and easy to assemble with the help of their on-line video and included booklet. Not being able to test ride it was a concern, but the 30 day return policy gave me comfort. Riding this bike has reinvigorated my love of riding. I've ridden a different brand for about 18 years and have struggled to make it more comfortable. I'm an avid cyclist riding over 100 miles a week. My Roubaix out of the box was an excellent fit for me, although it may need a tweak or two in the future, it works for me now. I love the new technology (for me) of the hydraulic brakes and Rival AXS wireless shifting. Both work so well. Specialized has the purchase on-line down to a science. They send weekly emails fine tuning my knowledge of my new Rival group set. In contacting them, they returned my email promptly and thoroughly. Oh, did I say they included a torque wrench set with the bike? That was surprisingly cool. My only gripe, which Specialized probably has little control over, is the high cost of other group sets. I'm used to having Ultegra on my bikes (Force equivalent), but I was unwilling to pay 8K+. Fortunately, I love the Rival. It does what the others do, but a little heavier.

Been looking/waiting - struck gold!

Been eying the new Roubaix with Sram AXS to replace my beloved 2012 Roubaix. Found it by online search in OFallon IL in route to Ironman Tulsa. Didn’t order from LBS because I needed to ride as I considered downsizing to a 54 from 56. We’ll Bike Surgeon had it in stock jumped on and it was awesome! Swapped saddles to my oh so comfy Specialized Phenom saddle and took for a ride in the hill country of Texas post Ironman Tulsa. Even in tired legs the new Roubaix was awesome, smooth on bumpy roads with the Future Shock 2.0 and the SRAM AXS is amazing! Looking forward to the next 10 years with my second Roubaix.

Comfort and speed!

I've only ridden about 125 miles on this bike since I bought it about two weeks ago, but I can already say with absolute confidence that this is some of the best money I've ever spent. The color is absolutely stunning while riding in the sun, totally different from your basic matte and wild colors, I love it. The frame is just amazing at isolating me from the road so much that I now doubt the need for tubeless tires. Future Shock 2.0 is great at what it does and after some instruction, I was able to swap out the stock stem for something a lot more useful. SRAM Rival groupset is just lovely and I look forward to many years of faithful service. For someone who's 43 years old and looking to seriously increase my cycling from now on, you can't get any better than the Roubaix. Comfortable and FAST, can't beat that combo!

R&R Roubaix Rival

Traveled over 500 miles to get this phenomenal road bike and was not disappointed. Per the name I enjoy the geometry of Specialized bikes having owned 3 previously. The eTap Rival shifting is superb, color is vibrant and the 10r Carbon along with the Future Shock 2.0 gives the most comfortable ride. Great machine!!! 🚴🏽🚴🏽

Loving the bike, just makes me want to ride more and more

It's been 3 weeks since this beauty joined my family. We have ridden the commute route with grace and smoothness and gone further in the early hours, uphills and down, in the fog and sun. Love it. The shifting is smooth and it pedals sliently, the engagement sound from the wheels is nice, and the hubs have a clear sound as they roll. Shifting is smooth and it's so nice to be able to touch and shift, loving the logical right harder and left easier logic. The bike is comfortable. The brakes are strong if needed. I'm new to both disc brakes and electronic gears and also it's my first road bike - so lots of new things to learn about and try - loving it. Keep smiling.

I was a future shock skeptics but bike is amazing!

We ride on average 100 miles a week together. I purchased a Roubaix Comp for my wife last summer. I wanted her to be more comfortable than she was on her old Tarmac. I had doubts about the purchase, I thought the Roubaix may slow her down, that was NOT the case. I was skeptical about the added weight, of the future shock being a self proclaimed ""weight weenie"" low and behold as we rode more and more, her on the new Roubaix and me on my old Giant Defy Advanced I was discovering that she was riding much faster than before with less overall fatigue. I took her bike for a spin one day when she was at work. I was amazed at both the quickness and the comfort of her new 2020 Roubaix. I had always wanted to try electronic shifting and when the new 2021 transparent red Roubaix hit the website I knew right away it was the right bike for me! My worry was, could I find one during this worldwide bike shortage. I went on the Specialized website every day checking to see if a size 58 was available. My persistence payed off, this new bike is a gem. It's beautiful, rides like a magic carpet and the new Rival AXS is a winner. I got lucky finding one, my persistence payed off. My old Giant Defy will be retired to indoor trainer duty this winter. My only suggestion to Specialized would be to offer this model with carbon wheels as an option. 😄

This bike is amazing! Pair it with a Roval C38s or CLXs and the Sworks Turbo rapidaire tubless and you have a beast of a machine with excellent climbing response! The SRAM Rival eTap AXS is amazing. No wires at all, clean setup, smooth shifting, nice big shifter paddles, easy derailleur adjustment. Easy app connection. Setup the rear derailleur as sequential shift and the front derailleur automatically shifts. I do own a Di2 bike and must say SRAM really nailed it with the Rival groupset.

Love it!

So happy with this bike. Rival etap is so nice and so glad SRAM is offering an affordable electric groupset. The Roubaix frame is awesome. The headset shock is weird. I rarely notice it's there until I think about it and then I realize the road feels much smoother. If I turn it off I then notice the road chatter, but when it's on I don't. I guess that's exactly what you want but it's odd to have such a nice feature that you never notice! eTap I notice on almost every shift! Love the red color. Looks almost black in some lights and then the sun hits it and it's way cool! Glad to see Specialized doing cool colors again after too many years of boring colors. I'm swapping out the cranks for 167.5mm. 172.5mm seems way too long for modern 56cm bikes.
