Could you a larger front

Could you a larger front ring. Feels like I'm always riding in the highest gear. Otherwise an outstanding bike! It's like riding around on a road bike but actually comfortable. 10/10 if you plan to use it for your commute as I do.

Got the bike early Jun

Got the bike early Jun 2022, loving it so far. Overall well rounded bike with solid frame quality, definitely have more potential if you are willing to swap out the wheel and drive train which I'm gonna touch on later. Slick design, really nice color and paint finish. I went for 4.0 exclusively because of this matt gray look with the reflective ring on the tires. The one star I've taken off is for the components. While the default drivetrain does deliver adequate performance and riding experience, it would've been even better if Specialized were to stick with Sora components through-out the drivetrain. Both shifters and front derailleur were from microShift and the crankset was FC-MT210-2 which wasn't even listed in the specs on the website. Shifting is just okay, definitely not great for a $1,500 bike and my front shifter came in broken. My bike shop was able to submit a warranty claim and SP sent a replacement right away. I get it, carbon frame does eat up most of the prices, and the fact that you get full 9r carbon frameset with rest of the components for $1,500 in 2022 is a pretty sweet deal by itself, but imo I do think someone who's willing to spend $1,500 on a fitness hybrid probably wouldn't mind spending 1 or $200 more for nicer components. Really do wish SP could come out with customized build where you get to pick the frame, color, drivetrain and etc.

Perfect Long Commute/Road Bike

Have had 2 of these bikes over the last 8 years. The perfect commute bike IMO. I don't like drop bars, so having an upright position, but multiple angles is great. The bike is responsive (stiff), but still very comfortable and super light.

Great bike

Just about everything on this bike is perfect. The versatility is amazing and ideal for the fitness rider. Im 5'8" @175lbs and I'm riding a Large frame and fit is best I've ever had on a bike. Only complaint about my bike are the cranks. They came flying off at about 100 miles and nearly wrecked. Crank arm clamps on top bottom bracket and no crankbolt... Not ideal. Better cranks on this bike would be a plus.

Would i buy it again? No but i have no regrets

well unfortunately the crank conspiracy is actually true. my crank also broke, before my sirrus 4.0 broke, i do admit it was the smoothest ride but not the fastest or lightest. good bike but im sure with research you can find a better bike at a cheaper price. If you want smooth ride, yes go for it but dont expect speed or a reliable crank.

I would definitely buy this bike all over again!

I bought my 4.0 from Bayou Bicycles in N.O. and had the best experience. Their excellent staff and mechanics made sure that the recall concerning the crank issue was handled immediately. It's the smoothest hybrid out there for the money and not short on style. I've received compliments just about everytime I'm on it! Look no further folks, this hybrid is TOPS! Kudos to SPECIALIZED! Thx.guys!

Great commuter geometry and value for dollar

Compliant shock absorbing ride, decent spec, nice fit and finish. I changed the bar to one the same width with about an inch of rise and went with the 38mm pathfinder tires as my commute road is a bit bumpy. The seat is unforgiving and I would have happily paid for a better distance seat. I will probably put a Brooks seat on it and Planet Bike Cascadia Fenders. Very happy overall.

Great fitness bike

Had this bike for around a month and this is a great bike. Yes, there was a recall on the crank arm but it's fixed- no big deal. It's light, quick and very well made as you would expect from Specialized. I upgraded the tires, saddle, saddle post and pedals and I'm very happy with it. The other noises and gearing issues others have complained about are what you would expect from a new bike- nothing new here,

Same issues as below, but resolved for now

I'm pretty happy with the bike, but note that it's not really ""true to size"" for the heights in the sizing table, as the top tube is relatively high, presumably since it's a standard frame for the Sirrus line, and the top of the line model (6.0) needs to accommodate the inclusion of future shock. Otherwise, it's lean, light, and reasonably priced for what it is, as long as you're content with 9 rear gears. I visited my bike store immediately upon learning of the crank defect, and they fixed it within 24 hours. They said there was an excess number of spacers, and they need to disassemble to check. The chain came off the small gear a few times as well, and it's a shifter cable tension issue that they can also address in the store. I am also looking into getting a chain guide to prevent this problem, but it's not unique to this bike and just happens with use.

Squeaky pedal and chain drop?

I've had my cirrus 4 since end of March and bike 3-4 days a week. took the bike back to the shop couple weeks back the left pedal was squeaking creaking loudly wonder if its the same problem CHIJ had with the left crank falling off...scary! also chain drops once in a while shifting to the smaller cassette anyone else with this issue?

Sleek, fast, and comfortable

I purchased my Sirrus 4.0 back in March and have put about 600 miles on it so far. It rides like a dream. Fast, light-weight, and easy to maneuver. They told me at the bike store I can take it on gravel and packed-dirt trails, but I'm sticking to pavement thus far. No complaints at all!--I absolutely love it!

A Dream Deferred

I rode a 2013 Sirrus Comp for years around LA. It was awesome and - can't say enough about the rugged frame and comfort over rough LA roads. This new one has all the ruggedness but lighter, quieter, nimbler, stiffer and yet more comfortable, faster...it's awesome!

Light and Fast

This is my second Specialized that I own. Compare to Dolce, Sirius is far more sophisticated; light and fast. I like everything what Sirrus 4.0 has to offer. I really enjoyed my first 30 miles bike ride today with Sirrus.
