Sirrus Single-Speed – Men's Spec

2020 Sirrus Single-Speed – Men's Spec

We understand that fitness bikes can get a bad rap. Most of the time, they err on the side of value over performance, which leaves YOU feeling in between, and frankly, a little burned. But we're happy to say that our Sirrus is out to change that by providing the perfect blend of everyday efficiency with the performance you need to hit your fitness goals at speed. This Sirrus was designed for the ultimate ease of use, which is why it has a single gear that removes all the fuss and maintenance of shifters and derailleurs. No need to worry about shifting, just hop on and start cruisin'. And while you’re at it, the comfortable Body Geometry touchpoints are sure to take the sting out of long rides, while rack and fender mounts give you the option to lug your stuff around town on the bike instead of on your back. *While this frame platform was designed from the ground up for all riders, some of the models feature gender-specific touchpoints.

Sirrus S.S Review

I normally ride a mountain bike (Specialized Pitch). And that bike is phenomenal. This bike the Specialized Sirrus Single Speed - is just pure bike. Brings back my childhood days. The S.S Bike is for the minimal guy like me, you don't need shifters to have fun, just hop on and ride your bike. The Gear ratio I would say it's a medium. Not to hard not to easy. It's perfect for almost all types of counters such as hill and head winds. I recommended this bike to everyone who wants to use a single speed, hybrid-road type bike. This also has a fixed Gear option as well.

Sustained-pace fitness bike, great for cruising too.

I normally ride a hybrid street/mtb. I'm constantly gearing up or down to get to a comfortable ratio at high speeds. This bike is set to hit that torque sweet spot at a moderate gear ratio while being suitable for most circumstances. I thought this bike was geared a little high (less torque required, easier acceleration, easier to maintain cruising speed, lower top speed, high speed requires more rpms). After pacing myself and hitting the 10 mile mark, i'm glad this bike is set where it's at. I believe the gear-inches is a low-ish 64. This accelerates easily from a stop. If you add headwinds and inclines, you'll be glad you aren't pushing harder. I wanted something that would prevent me from pedaling too hard or shifting too much, so I could have a sustained workout pace for around 20-30 miles without overdoing it, or major fatigue. This is like riding a consistent level 3 on a stationary bike.Geared bikes are faster, but you can go pretty fast on this bike. This is more of a spinner than a masher. Unless you have high rpms you'll top out, but this forces you to keep a sustained pace instead of mashing and gassing. It has a flippable hub for fixed gear, but I ride it freewheel because mounting, stopping, maneuvering, creeping, leaning turns, stretching, and being able to cruise while I adjust myself or my audio is too crucial. I'm constantly pedalling regardless. Geometry is perfect for me (M) 5'9"" 170 lbs, feels like a street bike. I can ground my feet without hitting the crossbar. I don't brush the front wheel when turning. Simplistic design makes it super light. It's a great town ride. I bought this considering it to be a starter-bike for fixed, but I'm riding it single for exercise and cruising, and don't see me upgrading soon. Good quality. If I ever gear up, I might just buy a second one. Under $400, and get more than what you pay for.
