CREO SL vs MT LEMMON

We have a long history of developing the world's highest performing road bikes. Tarmac, Venge, Roubaix, Allez, Diverge—each one dominates their respective category, featuring the best technologies in the industry. And while that's a tough palmarès to follow, the Turbo Creo SL redefines e-road bike performance. It's lightweight, smooth, capable, and lively—all with the power to flatten mountains, laugh at headwinds, and go farther than you ever thought possible. It's you, only faster.

The Turbo Creo SL Expert features out Fact 11r carbon chassis. Yes, that's the same one on the S-Works model, and you'll also get the new Future Shock 2.0. For the spec, we included a 1x Shimano Ultegra Di2 build with an XT rear derailleur and an 11-42t cassette to take on shifting and braking duties, while Roval C 38 Disc carbon wheels get wrapped in 30mm Turbo Pro tires to keep you rolling worry-free and super fast. And filling out the build are our Future Stem Pro, alloy Expert Hover bars, and our fan-favorite Body Geometry Power Expert saddle.

  • The Creo SL is the lightest e-bike in its class—literally kilograms lighter than the competition. Not only does the lightweight and stiff FACT 11r carbon frame inspire dancing on the pedals and diving into corners, but it also reduces overall system weight and increases the range.

  • The lightweight SL 1.1 motor doubles your effort with as much as 240 watts of silent and powerful assistance to amplify your ride. The motor’s responsive torque curve delivers power perfectly in-tune with your normal riding cadence and leaves no resistance when riding unassisted.

  • Battery anxiety? Not on the Creo SL. With up to 80 miles of range from the internal battery, the Creo SL eats up big miles and long days. Our optional range extender provides up to 40 additional miles of mountain-flattening power.

  • By connecting with our Mission Control App, you're able to tune the SL 1.1 motor to your riding style, record rides, and monitor the battery. The app can handle battery management automatically too, ensuring the battery will last as long as you need it to. The motor even has a built-in power meter that transmits to any ANT+ head unit. Don’t want to connect? No worries— the Turbo Connect Unit (TCU) on the top tube gives you all the control you need to ride.

  • With the Future Shock 2.0, you'll feel a reduction in fatigue and an increase in speed, no matter the terrain. The 2.0 iteration gives you more control via a knob atop the stem. This knob adjusts

  • We’ve learned there can be more difference between two male cyclists than between a male and a female cyclist. Gender alone doesn’t provide enough data to specialize. It means that separating bikes as male or female is arbitrary and outdated. With this in mind, we've developed a geometry that's best-fit for all riders—one that's comfortable, snappy, and handles like a dream.

First E bike

After 6 knee surgeries I had to purchase a E bike so after many hours of research and previous ownership of Specialized bikes I decided on the Creo, the very BEST decision I could make, I have it for 2.5 years and have over 9 000 miles on it and have only used 7% of the battery. I purchased a extended battery for those long rides, I love it more every time I get in the saddle. And customer support at Specialized is wonderful If you're in the DFW area Sunrise bikes in North Richland Hills is the best bike shop around. 🚲happy ,safe trails.

Wow! This E-Bike will change your life!!

Coming from pro-frame steel, then carbon fiber, I was hesitant to move to the E world. But age finally told me it was time. After about 100 miles, I find I work about as hard as I did on my Kestrel, except I am going faster. Sport power is great for the flats, Turbo works great on hills. Want more work out, turn the power down. Or off. So many choices. The Future Shock 2.0 smooths out the chip n seal roads. There's nothing not to like!

A great bike with or without using the motor

This is a fantastic bike. I have about 2000 km on it this summer and love riding it. Though I might only need to use the assist 15% of the time, I find I get out riding more often and for longer rides, knowing I have a bit of help in my back pocket if I need it. The motor is very smooth, and they've done a great job with how the assist fades in and especially how it fades away above 32 km/h. One of the most pleasant surprises is how well this bike rides when the assist is turned off. Super smooth, responsive and fun. Very easy to go for a 3 or 4 hour ride and only need a bit of help with the hills, or I admit, the last couple of km's on the way home. There is zero resistance from the motor when it is turned off, so it just rides like a normal (though slightly heavier) road bike. It's the most fun I've had on a bike in years. Highly recommend.

Back in the saddle

In December 2021 half way through my usual 160km Saturday ride on my s-works I had a cardiac arrest & heart attack 14 defib’s & 45 minutes cpr thinking after that those rides were over for good at the age of 60. Thank God for the Creo SL with 2 range extenders 160 km & 2000m elevation no worries, it’s up to you how much of a work out you want, handle’s beautifully & the sram 12 speed with the 46 tooth chainring is spot on. I could keep going on, you get what you pay for . Specialized you nailed it

Bike is very comfortable future,

Bike is very comfortable future, shock works very well Assist seems very natural and is outstanding that you can customize it with the Mission Control app. Only have about 100 miles on it so far. On a 35 mile ride with 3000 feet of climbing still had 27% battery left. I rode with a bike in Sport mode the entire time with the exception of one last climb in which I used Turbo. Just received my range extender battery so I can try some much longer rides. On a previous ride using the Ecomode with 2000 feet of climbing only used 30% of the battery. I’ll update as I get more time on the bike.

This a blast for any

This a blast for any age. Very versatile for road or gravel. That extra boost is great for the speed junkies, keeping up with a young crowd or just going farther than usual. The power transition is smooth so riding with other cyclists appears to be safe.

Simply WOW

Purchased the bike late last fall and only rode it a few weekends but extremely satisfied. Smooth shifting lots of power when needed. The area we bike is all hills so the ebike is a plus. I was so satisfied that my wife was lucky to find one early winter and bought it. Now we have two CREO SL Expert bikes. Can't wait for spring to go riding again.

Fantastic bike, a joy to ride

I’ve had my Turbo Creo Sl Expert for exactly one year as I write this review. I’ve ridden it 6500 + miles and experienced not one problem. I’ve used 61 battery charge cycles in that time and typically with my style of riding get about 80 miles per “tank” of charge. I ride mostly with the motor off or in eco mode so. It does have remote switches which allows me to select off and all three levels of power with two buttons mounted just below brake levers. UDiII electric shifting is a delight much akin to clicking a mouse. I averaged right at 800 miles before the UDi battery reqires a charge. As I said in the title this bike is a joy to ride.

Just What I Hoped For

At 71 and over 40 years as an avid cyclist, I still love to ride hard, and though I’m in great shape, riding more than 11,000 miles last year, I’m finding my body doesn’t respond like it used to and I’m slower in the hills. Yesterday was my inaugural ride on my Turbo Expert. Wow! 47 miles, 2200 ft of climbing with a 17.7 mile average. Most of my ride was in ECO with Sport level on the climbs. Once I realized I’d have plenty battery left, I lit up the Turbo mode and flew home. I had about 40% of battery left and I was all smiles. Specialized knocked it out of the park with this bike. I rode hard and I got the response I hoped for. I was hesitant to add an eBike to my stable. I’m so glad I did.

Amazing bike as advertised!

I decided to buy this bike because of COVID and the need to get out and move. I use to mountain bike but had not done any riding for 5+ years. I was worried about road riding and trail riding and ability to get home so I preordered this bike and I have never looked back! At 67 I can easily 100 klm and never worry if I run out of steam I will get home. This bike allows me to ride by gorgeous back country roads and amazing trails. I thought I might do 3-4 short rides a week but I simply cannot get enough and never want to head home. This bike because it is light, versatile trail and road and not overwhelming for my 46 kg frame… I can carry it up stairs it has given me cycling passion back! I can’t wait for the snow to go and hit the roads again! Best bike ever!

Can be your everyday bike

I'm 69 and between road and mountain average 4 days a week in AZ and CA. My son is a CAT 1 and I ride with him on Saturday. I was able to hang with him on my SWorks Roubaix but was tired of being on my limit and slowing him down so I bought this bike. There are several things that are really impressive about this bike. First, it rides and handles like a normal bike. Yes it's heavier, but unless I'm climbing, I ride it with the power off and my speed is nearly identical to the Roubaix. You can stand to climb on this bike just like a normal bike. When climbing unless I'm on a steep climb I ride it in Eco. Many rides of 25+ miles with 1000 feet of climbing require approximately 10% battery use. I put 32mm tires on the bike which added to the smoothness and comfort of the ride. If you're thinking of buying an expensive bike and think in the future you might need some assistance, this is the bike. No other brand offers anything close. Highest recommendation!

Restoring the love of riding

I completed a successful Everesting, then discovered a cardiac condition that handbrakes my future of riding. Was off for two years, then the Creo piqued my interest. It has enabled me to get back out there, enjoy the scenery and the feeling of what I was able to do previously. Albeit, slightly better with the Creo up certain hills. The Expert is a superb spec and have even bought the Range Extender to let me out on those longer rides I used to do. No more Everestings for me, but at least I can get out there again. I'm only 51, many more years of joy out there...

Excelent Technology in a terrific package

Riding on this bike for the last 4 months and it's been a different experience and a lot of fun compared to my Specialized Roubaix. I'm in my mid 60's and was riding 100+ miles a week at avg speed of 18mph. I'm now riding at 20-21mph avg speed on the lowest assist level and able to keep up with younger riders or pass them. As the literature states, this is an ""assist"" so you still have to put in the effort. I work just as hard as I did before the e-biked but now just finish my rides sooner. The 30lbs of this bike is noticeable going up any hill so you have to turn on the assist to drag that 30lbs up the hill. When you enable the lowest level of assist it neutralizes any 15 or less mph. It's like the wind doesn't exist. I wanted to ride the Trek version of this e-road bike but there were none available to try. I'm very happy with the Creo as it does not have the hefty look of the Trek bike. Most folks don't even notice it's an e-bike. This bike is different than a typical road bike in a turn as the 30lbs do not make it as nimble but acceptable. I'm now riding like I was 20 years ago with this bike. I can ride 50 miles on this bike at the lowest level of assist and only half of the battery is used.

No more suffering!

I can climb and climb w/ as little or as much effort as I want to put in. After 20 years of riding it's like a reward: lost 10 years and 10 pounds for $10K - a good deal. The big surprise was how the bike felt on the downhills, so smooth and stable. This must be what it feels like to be a pro. Turbo mode = Cancellara, though I'm in regular mode most of the time.

Specialized really did get it right

For several months I opened a beautiful celest colored bike with ebikemotion motor. Then I discovered it couldn't be ridden in wet conditions because the charging port is on top of the bottom bracket and water can drain into it. Then I discovered the Creo perfect bike for an elderly guy in his 70's. It's true Specialised got it right.

This bike brings a new dimension...

I had long been a battery assisted ride hater. But this bike is not the same at all. With the customizing you can do with the amount it can assist you, the advertising is correct.... It's just ""more you"". It makes me want to get out and ride almost every day.
