Tune it to Your Style.

By connecting with our Mission Control App, you can tune the SL 1.1 motor to your riding style, record rides, and monitor the battery. The motor even has a built-in power meter that transmits to any ANT+ head unit. Don't want to connect? No worries—the simple Turbo Connect Unit (TCU) on the top tube gives you all the control you need to just climb on and ride all day.

South Downs Way

Rented a SL Comp with Range Extender to ride the SDW in the UK. 160km and 3750m of climbing over 3 days. One of the hardest rides I have completed. The battery management of the bike was outstanding and had 50% battery left after each day.

After 3 years of riding this bike, I am enjoying it more and more. It's just right for a little assist on climbs, can go for a 15 mile or so ride with just enough battery, and it's nearly as fun on the downhill as an analog bike. No issues with it so far. The only small complaint would be that the connection to the extra battery in the bottle holder is not great, but they may have improved that without my knowing.

The best choice for me

I am lifelong rider who has done bike racing and mountain biking. Got this for my 75 birthday and love it! I can put it on my existing bike rack by myself and go to my favorite northern Michigan trails. It works on smooth pavement and the extensive snowmobile trail system we have here with hills and side trails. Yesterday I went with a friend and we rode 35 miles with eco assist on much of the time and at the end my battery was still at 60 percent…you may not need the extra battery. I like the feel of doing most of the work myself and when you want help it is there. On our ride yesterday we were passed by a group of young men on road bikes. My competitive nature came out and I put it in full assist. With that assist level I was able to hang with these guys, knobby tires and all, our sustained speed was 23 mph for about two miles. This was on a rails to trails paved bike path. If you can afford it this is a great choice

Great bike with one caveat

I've had this for about 3 weeks of nearly daily rides. Overall I'm very happy with it. Going through rock gardens on this at speed is a joy and is really a solid, stable ride. Love the light weight as well! I also think the 35nm assist is perfect for a great workout. You won't get up steeps without effort, which is just what i wanted. Riding a friend's e-mtb will full-on assist is interesting, but ultimately I'm not working very hard at it and I eventually feel guilty with my friends on their acoustic rides. I'm out of breath on a steep ascent with this. Only caveat I'll toss in is i don't like the noise level of the motor. It's a whiny little sucker when under full load. My cannondale is 100% quite when engaged, almost spooky in it's performance. This one, you'll know you're using it. My hope is noisy motors quickly become an early e-mtb feature and we get quieter performance in new generations as it's part of the joy in the woods.

Love my Levo SL Comp Carbon!

This is a truly fabulous bike! Great handling and looks gorgeous too. It's a compliment-magnet 😊 If you're sitting on the fence, just buy it. You won't regret it. Looking forward to getting out on mine more regularly over coming months. 5 Stars all the way. Well done Specialized!

The best thing that ever

The best thing that ever happened to my MTB hobby. I just turned 60, those tough climbs were getting dicey. I've put more miles on this bike in a month than I had on my older non-assist bike in a year. Great work Specialized - still feels like a regular bike, and is totally rideable without assist.

Very light and capable EMTB, fun to ride flowy trails, some jumps and techy. Only complaint is that the dropper post does not work well. It'll go up smoothly but will not come down smoothly. 2 other riders I know with the same bike have the same issue.

Just been on a few

Just been on a few rides but love it already. I have a full size e bike too, but this one is perfect for my usual/typical rides. Still gets you a bit of power, but just enough that the battery still seems like it would go 30+ miles. LOVE that it is so lightweight, honestly feels like my regular enduro (analog) but WAY more fun.

Game changer.....................

Both my wife and I rented the SL Levi in Bentonville this fall. It was LOVE at first pedal stroke. We were able to ride TOGETHER for over 4 hours every day and not be totally exhausted. So with that in mind, we purchase a pair of SL Carbon Comps. The geometry of this bike and the little extra push that this bike gives my wife, has taken her biking to another level. Thanks you guys. For me I learning how to jam it into turns, rip thru rock gardens, make most climbs, and even jump it. Today I found another reason this bike is so great.... It is 83 degrees out with 80% humidity here in Texas and I was able to really push it and not over heat. Wow.

If you've never ridden an

If you've never ridden an e-bike the experience and any description of it sounds like a lot of fluff. Last year my husband rented one of these and tried and tried to make me understand how awesome this bike is. I've ridden MTB for several years now, but never an eMTB. When he wouldn't shut up about this bike and he found a sweet deal on a barely used one he made the purchase. Then he talked me into renting one to try it. After that rental I was hooked. This bike helps me go farther than I ever could. This bike lets me turn up the assist on days when I don't feel up to a total beat down and turn it down or off when I really want to work hard. This bike helps me make it up obstacles that I didn't have the skill to tackle before which gives me more confidence in what I try. I'm no spring chicken but this bike makes me feel like I could be. This is the only bike you need. Totally worth the purchase. WORD OF CAUTION: once you ride one of these you'll hate your old bike. Rent with caution, you're gonna love this bike!

Riding the SL Comp

I have been riding the SL for about 9 months. On eastern loam and root, scratchy-chunky AZ shale and Moab big rock. It is amazing. The ride is like my old stump jumper. Lots of fun. The assist extends my mountain bike riding due to a health issue. A feisty Filly.

Game Changer

I bought a 2021 Levo SL to help me keep up with a 16 year old son, 39 years younger than me. This bike accomplishes that. I find myself riding longer both in distance and elevation. I've ridden stuff above timberline that I have not ridden since I was in my 20's. Specialized really did it right with these SL's. I usually ride my S-Works hardtail, but I have this ready when I need it. It's light enough to ride with no assistance if you want to get the extra workout. However, the assistance is there if you need it. Very good addition to my bike collection....

Ultimate Urban Assault Bike

I don't ride down mountains. But I ride urban hills with potholes and park trails on my regular commute. I needed a light ebike that I could take up and down stairs to my office and I wanted it full suspension. Most of the urban commuter full suspension ebikes are super heavy. I bought this, put some maxxis hookworms on it, rigged up some lights, added custom handle bars to make the seating position more upright and now I'm in business. Specialized should consider this market. Mountain riders aren't the only ones who want a super light full suspension option. I get the perfect range of assist for a work out or for arriving to work not in a full sweat. The full fat ebikes are too clunky for my use case. The way I have this rigged is perfect. It's a beautiful machine. I hang it on my wall as a piece of engineering art. My complements to whoever chose this color. It's by far my favorite looking bike in the SL class market wide.

Magic Bike

I've had this bike for a year and while it took some getting used to (I was new to 29"), it's an amazing bike. It is thoughtfully engineered with beautifully-integrated power delivery that in eco and trail mode it's so smooth you can barely feel the motor--you just go faster than you expect given your pedaling. I usually ride in eco so I get a workout, but pop it into trail or turbo to take the pain out of steep sections. Rides that would normally leave you totally wiped are now possible just as a solid workout. The ability to ride more trails is spot on. Game-changing bike. Only cons are Specialized's model specs--they save the best components for their most expensive bikes, meaning an $8k bike (!) has less than the best. That is absurd, but how Specialized specs these for a full-range model lineup.

Great bike

I turn 80 in 6 weeks. I've been riding mtn bikes for 35 years. Owned a bike shop. I've been riding a dual suspension $2500 bike for 5 years and it's served me well. I broke my neck in a bike accident in 1953; tore my shoulder apart (bike accident) in 1997; had back and thumb surgery on both hands and both knees replaced. Hill climbing has been a problem in the last 2 years. Enter the e-bike. I've only ridden it 3 times but it has helped with my skills and my knees don't hurt the next day. I love this bike and recommend to anyone, especially older riders. At under 40 lbs it's only about 10 lbs heavier than my regular bike. It's very responsive and good handling.

Buy it!

I was leery about going electric. I have been riding ""acoustic"" MTBs for over 30 years, and pride myself in regards to fitness. But this bike is a game changer. With a few mods I managed to drop the bike weight to 35 lbs., and can easily ride it no assistance if I so choose. Either way I still get a great workout and find myself riding more and longer than ever before. Specialized hit it out of the park with the Levo SL.

Bike is simply incredible!

Have about 200 miles in, love it. My rides start at 6,400 feet elevation and reach about 9,000+ feet. Battery and engine is just enough to make this super fun! Rarely use power for more than about 25% of my rides. Flats and descents make you forget about the extra weight. Expensive, but fantastic!

Easy Riding fun machine

Ride on hill trails mainly. I bought the bike on impulse as I had a carbon Stumpjumper. Riding the 2 my preference was the SL so I sold the other. It handles just like a normal bike. You need to work the gears and keep your cadence up like a normal bike. On rough terrain it feels more planted with the battery and motor weight, but still easy to jump. It means that i always feel like i am riding fit. My heart rate is lower than a normal bike but peaks at the same. So I get a workout. I am riding faster and my skills are improving quickly.

Best eMTB ever!

Coming from the full power bigger brother Levo, the SL is perfect for me and exactly what I was looking for. A light eMTB makes the bike handle just like a normal bike, but with the slight bit of extra assist. Don't let the smaller battery and motor full you. Range is similar to the big brother and the power is more than enough. I wanted and eMTB that pedals and handles like my Stumpjumper without having to weight of the heavier brother. Easy to lift up on the bike rack or when needed to lift the bike over the gate. No problems with the SL. If your looking for a eMTB, don't need that extra power, and want to push your biking limits the SL is the perfect bike for you!
