After a couple of years of riding other tires I have come back to the 38mm Pathfinder Pros that came stock on my Diverge. Mounted on some 25mm internal width carbon wheels, this might be the best do-everything, go-everywhere setup I have ever ridden. Sure my narrower slicks are a bit better on the road and my wider knobbies are a bit better in the truly chunky stuff. However, the Pathfinders reign supreme as the jack of all trades.
No amount of Stans will stop the sidewalls from leaking. It's time to replace these garbage tires.
Love these tires…my second set…on my wife’s bike as well.
Great tire 38 mm, sticky and reliable cornering but I will switch to 42s cause more comfortable and actually faster plus more efficient climbs on pavement and roads ( I was testing them in comparison to 42mm thinking speed and weight but it’s the opposite so I’m putting 42s back) otherwise absolutely incredible product, highly recommended
Great tire, fast and durable. I would purchase again and recommend.
I'm on the 700x47 and I'd argue this tire performs better than ever other tire I've ridden, in every condition I've thrown at it. Asphalt, fast. Smooth gravel, fast. Rough gravel, fast. Chunky rock sections, fast. Add to that, the cornering grip is the best I've experienced. It just does it all. I've ridden the full Pirelli Gravel tire range, Schwalbe G-One RS, and a few others, and the Pathfinder stands out of the crowd.
Nice rolling tire on road and gravel. Great for summer dry, mixed surface rides.
The only set of tires I use. I have them in 32s, 38s, and 650b
I just replaced my old tires , a pair of ride tour 700x32c and the differenc is unbeliveable, its more wide , but still weights so much less that you actually can feel the difference. And the way it turns and grips is just over every expectations. It gave my bike new possibilities. More stable, more comfortable, and weights more then 200g less in total. So 5 star for it
This is a really versatile tire! I run the 42's for spring rough conditions in Wisconsin and they're great. I had the sport version (38's) on my diverge and put well over 1k miles on them with no issues. They're reasonably fast and handle everything I run in to.
I got these to use on my diverge. Ive been using other tire brand in 40mm and they had been fine, but I wanted to see how much more comfortable was using a 47mm tire on my bike and it definitely was worth the change. These tires feel extremely comfortable and honestly I don’t feel much drag from them. I normally ride 50/50 gravel/road I weight 175 with no gear and ride them at 33psi on the back and 30 psi front. Last weekend I did a 62 mile group ride and just pumped them to 40psi and I was able to keep up with all the roadies to the point that at the end of the ride one guy came to see if I was riding an ebike because hes never seen anyone riding such big tires and keeping up with the group on a regular bike. I highly recommend this tire, it definitely does it all!
The 47mm Pathfinder Pro will fit the Giant Revolt just fine with the flip chip in the standard position. This tire is the de facto gold standard for gravel.
This tire comes completely folded up like a piece of paper which makes it more difficult to install. As a result my tire has a flat spot on it which makes it wobble.
The Pathfinder Gravel Tire is a game-changer for gravel enthusiasts. With its innovative design, it offers the perfect balance between smooth rolling on hard surfaces and exceptional grip in loose conditions. The tire's durable construction withstands the rigors of gravel riding, ensuring longevity and reliability on the most demanding trails. Its versatility shines, performing admirably across a variety of terrains, from country backroads to rugged singletracks. The Pathfinder provides confidence-inspiring handling, allowing riders to push their limits while maintaining comfort over long distances. Whether you're a competitive racer or a weekend adventurer, these tires are a top-notch choice for anyone looking to elevate their gravel riding experience. Five stars for the Pathfinder Gravel Tire – it truly sets the standard for versatility and performance.
Muy rodadores
Easy to install tubeless, tires feel smooth on tarmac
Durable and reliable
Ottimo prodotto!
I had the TLRs installed on my BMC Alpenlite commuter e-bike hardtail. I added Fox forks which makes it very comfy for gravel, trails or road. I can flip onto gravel from road without any problem. I use lower tire pressure for wet or snowy roads and single track and road and still have a great ride. They wear very well. Hard sidewall takes a lot of punishment from rocks, goatheads and other debris. This is definitely an all-weather tire
Coming from the mtb side with big tires and inserts, I installed the 47c version on my epic hardtail for an awesome "groadeo" bike. They roll smooth in the center, handled great when pushed into gravel corners and have impressive sidewall protection considering running them with fairly low pressure on some chunky CO gravel and washboards!
These are excellent tires for gravel!
I have these 700 x 47 set up tubeless on my Specialized AWOL, mounted to Boyd CCC wheels. These went on easily but setting up tubeless with a track pump was really difficult. I love the feel of these on the road, very smooth on-center feel. I only have a 20 or so miles on gravel but these feel much better than the tires they replace. I used Silca's pressure calculator and the ride was amazing. They are quite a bit heavier, however. The tan sidewalls look great on my bike.
Great grip, low rolling resistance. Couldn’t ask for more!
Excellent tire, it was recommended to me by a cycling friend. I particularly like the center bead for road cycling!.
A good rolling tire, but not the most traction in very loose conditions. I hoped width (47) could overcome the lack of knobs but was proved wrong in a pretty nasty crash. Use it in most conditions and you’ll be very happy. Not for technical gravel approaching MTB.
Nach dem Kauf gleich 60 Kilometer gefahren. On und offroad.
Li consiglio, ottimi su asfalto e sterrati in genere.
I bought the 700x47s for my gravel bike and I love them. I've probably put 300-400 miles on them so far and they've help up super well to all conditions, even chunky, chunder-y roads. They're also surprisingly fast. I haven't felt any drag when I've needed them to roll at speed. My only complaint is that they're not great in slick off-road conditions, but that's to be expected given their tread pattern. I absolutely plan on sticking with them regardless.
I have tried many different gravel tires and always come back to Pathfinder Pro. Thousands of gravel miles and class IV roads and not a single flat. Rolls great on pavement and handling on gravel toads is excellent. The only negative is they are suited for muddy conditions.
Smooth and awesome rolling
Incredible tires, feel like glue on pavement and gravel. I have the 700x47, and plan to switch to a narrower variety in fender season
Got these on my specialized Vado. Had three punctures in the last year all from small objections going through the tyre.
700 x 32C pathfinder pro. Exceptional all around tire. Rolls fast on the road and doesn’t hold back on gravel. If ALL you do is gravel go for the 38 or 42C pathfinder pro but if you ride mixed terrain road/gravel/trail mix I think 32C is a perfect tire. I’m 155 pounds I run them 40 psi front and 42 rear no problems. Only limitation would be deep sand. Most riders would probably benefit from a 32C tire rather than rolling around on big balloon tires. Just my opinion.
Terrific tires!!!! Top notch
Produto de ótima qualidade! Muito satisfeito
I've had this tire in 700x38 tubeless on my gravel bike and have over 3500 miles on a set riding 160-200 km a week including events. I have had ZERO punctures or flats over rough W. Montana gravel - I sort of can't believe it! 40% of the miles were on asphalt. Smooth and fast on the asphalt, very controllable on the gravel, and the wear resistance is very high. RECOMMENDED!
After reading this tire has more Unbound (gravel race) wins than any other, I decided to try them out. After ~1000 miles of riding, they are my new favorite tire. Very fast rolling, and smooth over the bumpy stuff.
good tires
I just bought a new Specialized Crux and it came with the Specialized Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss 38mm. 50 miles on the tires and there is a puncture in the sidewall. Bought 2 more of the same tire thinking maybe it's just a bad tire. Put the new one on and the same thing happened with just 2 rides on it. E-mailed Specialized with no response.
Fastest, grippiest, hardiest gravel tires, hands down.
This tire reall helps smooth out small bumps grips great in loose stuff. The clearance is too low for muddy rides
easiest mounting tubeless I’ve owned to date… running the 32mm’s on my Roubaix, great on the road and great in the gravel. highly recommend for those riders who enjoy a little of both
This is dollar for dollar a fantastic gravel tire. I use this 700-38 tire where a lot of people are on 42 and 45 and they are fast and stable.

Enjoy your ride.
I rode 32s in this years BWR San Diego and these tires were perfect. The course had sand, mud, creek crossings, jagged rocks, technical single track descents and steep ascents, and pavement. These tires handled all of it. Highly recommend these tires for gravel racing!!!
Excellent
Mt riding is 80% pavement 20% dirt so these are perfect for my gravel bike! Good rolling speed plus cornering grip, and decent performance on dirt to boot!
I love these tires. Great puncture resistance. Low rolling resistance and a smooth ride. I ride mostly on roads but occasionally on gravel and trails. Fine for all
These are the best tires. Hands down the most reliable tires I have ever owned. They do extremely well with all the different surfaces we have up here in Montana.
Bester Reifen !
I ran a 42c with tube on my 2019 Cirrus X rear Roval C 38 wheel primarily fireroad and a little pavement. This is an amazing tire. Its been flat free for three years, hooks up perfectly and is finally almost worn down thru the wear indicator S. At least 3k miles, if not lots more. I dont do electronics on this bike. Replacing it with same size but going tubeless soon. Buy this tire and you 2 will bliss.
This is a great tire for a mt bike for gravel rides. And fast tire for pavement
Yes, the gravel tire of my dreams! Fast on tarmac, rolls effortlessly along rail trails, and a whole lot of fun dodging single track obstacles. Puncture protection is a feature I always insist upon so I can keep enjoying the ride!
Got a set of these tires for those rides that are mostly on road to dirt/gravel/limestone bike paths and it has not disappointed. Rolls fast but hooks up on the loose stuff when ya lean it over for a quick turn. I'm also expecting these tires to be awesome as the weather turns and the snow creeps into the normal rides. I'd buy again.
After and experimenting and exploring, I decided that the riding that sparked joy was light or hard packed gravel. That some pavement on such rides was fine, even enjoyable. Looking at reviews for a tire that would best suit that sort of riding, I bought the Pathfinder. It has lived up to the billing. It is super fast on pavement, close to my road bike tire. Gives enough traction and stability on light gravel. Would make a great commuter tire with a dabbling of gravel. Was not great on some deep loose gravel but it did the job.
Go to gravel tire!
Great tires! I ride mostly on pavement and only occasionally on gravel so I chose this tire because it takes quite high air pressure- 80psi- more like a road bike.
I put these on the bike in September of 2019. The 700x38s. It's now September 2022. They have almost 6000 miles on them. I rotated the front tire to the back at some point. I have never had a single puncture. They're still going strong and I did a 75 mile gravel race with them yesterday that included some sharp rocky chunky descents. I was a bit worried because they're a little dry rotted but they held up. I've ridden them on tons of gravel and lots of pavement and done ~1000 miles of loaded bike packing with them. I just bought a new pair to have just in case but I'm going to keep riding these until they start to fail in some way. I wouldn't be surprised if they make it well past 7000. Other gravel tires seem to last one season if you're lucky. I weigh 130 pounds.
My go to tire for on and off road.
Work great for road and gravel
Great gravel/ road tire. Most of my rides are on the bike path. I had the 38 mm wide tires which worked well until I punctured the tire riding through yard of abandoned house. Thank God for tubeless with Stan's. Was able to ride 20 miles back with about 20 pounds of air in tire. FYI, if you sustain a large gash with tubeless, keep pressure low or sealant sprays out So 38 wasn't available, so I bought 32. Very happy with them Do to smaller tread, quicker turns with less resistance unsure of weight, but acceleration is better than 48 as expected. 38 was better on heavy loose gravel. My only complaint is that I have to put air in the tires every day do to lose of air pressure. I didn't have this problem with Sawtooth tires. But we'll worth the inconvenience since I've ridden around 8000 miles withe specialized tubeless tires with no flats (other than the gas but that was my fault). Was a little hard to install by myself. But every room is different with tubeless so you can expect that. Well worth the effort..
Best tire I've used this week!
Good tires
First of all, I tried several other big brand tires that were a nightmare installing and never held air. Took 3 tries with an airshot compressor to get other brand tires mounted, and leaked air bad immediately with brand new rim tape. Thought there was something wrong with the rim. Bought these tires. Night and day difference. Specialized knows how to make amazing tubeless tires. Mounted the beads by hand with ease, used a normal floor pump again with ease, not even a fast tempo, and they seated right up no problem. Didn't even put sealant in yet and they are holding perfectly. Install could not be easier, literally. And as others have said, amazing rolling resistance for pavement, good cornering grip for pavement and gravel, not the best in loose wet stuff because of tread design, but for 80% or more of gravel rides, amazing.
I put 700 x 38 on rockhopper comp 29’er & wow!!! These tires are super light, very fast & pure fun! Can handle light off road as well. Highly recommend
Durable fast rolling tires.
Using the 42mm on an Epic hardtail on various gravel surfaces. Seem durable so far and like the slick center for pavement.
Fast and smooth centerline, good for on and off road
Super recomendadas
A great tyre for hybrid bikes, smooth on the road and plenty of grip on the trails.
Really like the speed with the smooth center track and the stability with the edge tread. Rode at max tire pressure and reduced level for comfort. Great performance and excellent price point for tire with puncture protection. I have never been disappointed in a Specialized tire.
Longtime MTB'er converted to a gravel rider. Bought a Specialized gravel bike recently which came with the Pathfinder Pro 700X38 tires. I needed something slightly wider and was first looking at Maxxis tires. But after riding on the 38's for a bit, I decided to stay with the Pathfinder Pros. I purchased the 700X42 Pathfinder Pro 2BR tires and I am pleasantly surprised with these tires. I mostly ride chunky gravel levee roads and so far, no flats/punctures/cuts etc. I do ride on paved roads sometimes to get to the gravel roads/trails and these tires roll fast! These tires are a great combination - a tough gravel tire that rolls very fast.
I have a pair of the 700x38 tires on my Crux, and I am amazed at how well they work once I leave the asphalt. Slippery, rocky, rough, weather beaten & otherwise non-maintained gravel and dirt roads (where I ride) are nothing to this tire. Of course these tires need to be run at the lowest possible tire pressure to get the best performance in the gravel. I am able to climb steep loose rocky sections with amazing traction. I'm not a fast downhill rider, so at my slower downhill speeds, and with low air pressure, these tires grip very well. The casings are tough and can take the punishment of jagged and sharps rocks and they are supple enough for a compliant and smooth ride. On the asphalt they are quiet and smooth, making these tires perfect for all around use on and off the pavement. So if you are riding in both worlds, smooth or rocky, these are worth a try.
I've been riding these tires for about eight months, and have been very impressed. They have excellent puncture resistance, hold air very well, are quite comfortable, and consistently test extremely well for rolling resistance, as well. I've been running them on a 19mm internal Mavic UST rim without issues, and was able to seat one of the two with a hand pump, which was nice. There are two things worth noting about this tire in a less positive light. The first one is that the pressures Specialized suggests on the tire itself are exceedingly high. I would suggest using SRAM's pressure calculator, instead. The second is that these tires are great value in the USA, where they run $50 USD. In Canada, they end up costing $85, which is way more than the exchange rate difference (they should cost about $65). I don't like paying an extra $20 per tire because I happen to be Canadian.
I have put a large amount of miles on these tires. Great balance of road to hard packed gravel and dirt. The slick down the center is awesome on the road while not so great on soft stuff. If you are looking for a Tire with lots of grip in loose gravel dirt this is not it. For all the other applications it’s awesome . Good work specialized.
These tires feel fast seat of the pants. They feel like they have low rolling resistance. Decent ride quality…much better than Cannonballs but not quite as cush as Resolutes. Puncture resistance is excellent. Several thousand miles on mine with zero flats. The minus is little bite in corners on loose stuff due to minimal tread. If you ride on loose stuff or take bike path corners quickly, this isn’t the tire for you. But it excels in a straight line.
